Grace reportedly went into cardiac arrest after being pulled from the water by lifeguards.
The Irish Sun provided further details:
Paramedics managed to get her breathing again before taking her to Son Espases Hospital. Rushed in an ambulance “in a critical condition”, she tragically passed away two days later.
A spokeswoman for a regional government-run emergency coordination centre said last week: “We took a call around 3.40pm on Monday to say lifeguards had spotted a young girl lying motionless on the bottom of the pool and dived in to rescue her.
“They performed CPR on her after pulling her out of the water because she had gone into cardiac arrest.
“Paramedics continued to try to revive her after reaching the scene and got her breathing again in the back of the ambulance. She was taken to Son Espases Hospital.”
A police investigation into the incident at the four-star Spanish hotel is ongoing.
Her remains are reposing at her home in Knocknafaugher. The wake will be private to family and close friends only.
