Gabby Petito Murder Finally Solved?

A newly surfaced notebook, allegedly belonging to Brian Laundrie, has come to light recently, but is the mystery solved?

Some might say that this latest clue finally solves the tragic mystery surrounding Gabby Petito’s death, but it may just be another turn in a deeply unsettling series of events…

The recovered notebook features a note written by Laundrie which insinuates that Petito suffered some sort of serious injury and that Laundrie put her out of her misery.

Was Laundrie just attempting to manufacture a convenient excuse with this journal entry? An excuse he could have given to investigators? Did he instead commit suicide thinking that his initial plan wouldn’t work? Is the notebook even his?

Unfortunately, we still don’t know the answer to any of these questions—the mystery continues to deepen…

Critics were quick to shed doubt on the ‘mercy killing’ motivations alluded to in the note:

Fox News reports:

“I ended her life,” reads the note, which the FBI recovered from the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on Oct. 20, 2021. “I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock.”

Laundrie wrote that he killed Petito after he claimed she injured herself when she fell in Wyoming. He also wrote: “From the moment I decided, took away her pain, I knew I couldn’t go on without her.”

Western Journal explains:

A coroner determined that Petito’s cause of death was acute strangulation. She is thought to have died around Aug. 28, 2021.

The notebook’s contents were previously unknown, although they had been described as a confession of involvement in Petitio’s death.
