Biden Actually Said Something That Makes Sense!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you read that headline correctly, and no it is not a joke…

Before I go on, I just want to make one thing clear: eliminating the federal gasoline tax will not bring the price of gas back down to affordable levels, however—it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

The government profits more on each gallon of gas sold than the oil companies do—think about that for a second…

Actual producers of a critical energy source are making less of a profit margin on their hard work while the bureaucratic parasites in this country, who produce absolutely nothing of value, are raking it in.

And what are they doing with these windfall profits? They’re sending them to hellholes like Ukraine—a corrupt country run by a thug in a tracksuit.

Only in Ukraine could upwards of 17,000 foreign-supplied anti-tank munitions mysteriously vanish while Zelenskyy continues to ask for more weapons. To put this in perspective, the U.S. and Russia collectively have roughly 18,000 tanks.

Biden recently asked Congress to temporarily suspend the federal gasoline tax; I want to do one better: eliminate it entirely—forever and permanently.

Stop robbing Americans at gunpoint through multi-tiered taxing. We are taxed on our income, every item we buy, every investment we make, the property we hold—we are even taxed when we die.

Enough is enough. Taxation is theft and the way forward is the elimination of virtually all taxes, save a simple one-time sales tax on most items, with a corresponding 90% drop in government spending.

As for the petrol problem? The Biden admin could solve that problem overnight by approving at least some of the nearly 4,500 pending applications to drill for oil.

All that being said, at least the resident-in-chief said something that actually points to a deeper truth. It won’t solve the present energy crisis, but it is a problem.

Here’s more on the story:

Newsmax states:

A suspension of the 18.4 cents per gallon federal gasoline tax and 24.4 cent diesel tax would require congressional approval, likely making Biden’s pitch largely symbolic.

In a recent Breitbart article, Tim Scott explains why suspending the gas tax won’t solve the larger energy crisis:

What we need is to have certainty and predictability so that those energy producers feel like they can invest billions of dollars to extract the energy from the soil so that we can use it in our tanks.

Without that certainty and predictability, without restarting the Keystone XL pipeline, all we’re doing is playing a game of moving things around, but not actually impacting the marketplace long term.”
