The incident occurred approximately 5:30 p.m. on Union Pacific tracks near N 1900 RD and U.S. Highway 24.
Around 30 cargo cars detached from the engine and derailed, spilling tons of coal.
There were no reported injuries from the massive coal spill.
However, there is major damage to the rails and the railroad crossing.
N 1900 RD is shut down in that area until crews can clean up the mess.
