FBI Arrest Michigan Republican Governor Candidate Ryan Kelley Over January 6

The FBI has arrested Michigan Republican governor candidate Ryan Kelley over claims that he was on the Capitol steps on January 6th.

Kelley is running to replace the incumbent Gretchen Whitmer, who is mired in high disapproval ratings.

This arrest comes on the same day that the House committee is giving its hearings on the January 6th “mostly peaceful” riot.

This is 17 months after the event happened.

Kelley is not accused of doing anything violent.

He’s not accused of harming anyone, breaking any laws, or even entering the Capitol building.

But what he WAS guilty of was being there and standing on the Capitol steps.

Really?

Do they think we’re this stupid?!

This is clearly a stunt to try to distract the public from things that actually affect their lives, such as gasoline prices and inflation.

The timing couldn’t be more obvious.

The January 6th “hearings” are nothing more than a sideshow to distract the American public before the midterm elections.

The New York Times confirms:

Ryan Kelley, a Republican running for governor in Michigan who was at the Capitol during the Jan. 6 attack, was arrested at his home in Allendale, Mich., on Thursday morning, according to Mara R. Schneider, a special agent with the F.B.I.

Mr. Kelley is the first person running for election in a major state or federal race to be charged in connection with the attack. According to a criminal complaint, Mr. Kelley was charged with committing violence against a person or property on restricted grounds, damaging federal property, disorderly conduct and entering a restricted building or grounds without permission. All four charges are misdemeanors, according to Bill Miller, a spokesman for the United States attorney’s office in the District of Columbia.

An F.B.I. agent described Mr. Kelley’s actions in a filing to the court, saying at one point that Mr. Kelley appeared to use his phone “to film the crowd assaulting and pushing past U.S. Capitol Police officers.” The filing also said that Mr. Kelley used “his hands to support another rioter” who was pulling down a metal barricade, and that he gestured “to the crowd, consistently indicating” that it should continue moving toward the entrance to the Capitol.

Mr. Kelley was able to be identified, in part, because what he wore on Jan. 6 was similar to the outfit he wore at the American Patriot Council “Judgement Day” rally in Lansing, Mich., in May 2020, according to the filing.

Efforts to reach Mr. Kelley and his campaign were unsuccessful. The mailbox for the telephone number listed for the campaign was full and could not accept messages.

A man who answered the telephone listed for the campaign treasurer said, “No comment, thank you” when reached by a reporter.

Despite being able to arrest Ryan Kelley the day the hearings begin, they don’t seem to have the time to find Ray Epps.

As of this day, the question of who is Ray Epps has not been answered.

Yet they are arresting Republican candidates in a seemingly choreographed way.

Does this appear to suggest that there’s more at play here?

The news story even went international.

Meanwhile, we can’t even get our own press to even act interested in the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Their Leftist agenda is so obvious to see for anyone who’s paying attention.

Yet when our mainstream media reports the news, the international media has no choice but to parrot it.

According to the BBC:

The FBI has arrested a Republican candidate for governor of Michigan and raided his home in connection with the 6 January Capitol riots.

Ryan Kelley is facing four misdemeanour charges related to the Capitol breach, including disorderly conduct,

His campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr Kelley, 40, has confirmed he was in Washington DC on 6 January but denied engaging in illegal activity.

The real estate agent is one of five Republicans on the August primary ballot, competing to take on Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer in November’s general election.

His arrest on Thursday morning comes just hours before a congressional committee investigating the Capitol riots holds the first of at least six public hearings.

According to an affidavit filed in federal court, the FBI received at least four tips between January and February 2021 from people who said Mr Kelley was at the Capitol attack. All four tipsters provided photos of a man who appeared to be Mr Kelley at the Capitol that day.

The FBI then used publicly available photos and video from the event “to assemble a more complete record” of Mr Kelley’s actions, the affidavit said.

So what do you think?

Did Ryan Kelley deserve to be arrested?

Or is he a part of a witch hunt that is targeting Republicans?
