No, the headline isn’t a joke! Mike Pence actually thinks he has a chance of beating President Trump in the 2024 election.
The former VP recently told The New York Times that his campaign will “go where we’re called”; this is a vague statement, but it’s also tone deaf.
Everyone knows that the GOP base wants Donald Trump to be the frontrunner in 2024, with Ron DeSantis being a 2nd favorite among the party—who knows? We may even see a Trump/DeSantis 2024 ticket…
All speculation aside though, Mike Pence is not a child, he is a career politician. Surely he knows how the game is played…
Trending: Is Elon Musk Running “Q”?
Why didn’t he just tell the Times: ‘no, I am not planning on running’, that’s all he had to say, instead he left the thing open because he still thinks he has a chance to run for President…
Here’s what everyone is saying:
NEW: 💥

Newsweek confirmed:
Former Vice President Mike Pence has not officially declared whether he will launch a 2024 presidential run, but he has taken several steps that indicate he is prepared to face former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination if he runs too.
The former president’s running mate and second in command has taken several steps to distance himself from Trump ever since they both left office in 2021.

Attention Mike Pence: President Trump gave you the privilege to be his running mate. Now you are thinking about betraying him by running for President in 2024. Shame on you!!

One of President Trump’s spokespeople fired back via Conservative Brief:
Trump spokesperson Taylor Budowich told the NYT that Pence is “desperate to chase his lost relevance.”
“The reality is, President Trump is already 82-3 with his endorsements, and there’s nothing stopping him from saving America in 2022 and beyond,” he added. “Mike Pence was set to lose a governor’s race in 2016 before he was plucked up and his political career was salvaged.”
