A number of prominent conservatives and even a few liberals now believe that the LGBTQ agenda has gone too far.
Several states have advanced bills that would prevent young kids from learning about issues such as transgenderism in early elementary grades.
Nevertheless, a new report exposes at least seven books that are being used to do just that in schools across New York City.

New York City has a series of books in its Mosaic Independent Reading Collection that focuses on teaching children as young as first grade and Kindergarten about LGBTQ+ and other left-wing issues, Fox News Digital has learned.
The reading lists, which include titles on Greta Thunberg and Elizabeth Warren, were created by the NYC Department of Education Library services, according to the TeachingBooks website. The page can only be accessed internally through the DOE’s official login for students and teachers.
Brooklyn parent leader, Vito Labella, told Fox News Digital that he frequently gets calls from concerned parents who are worried about transgender and critical race theory-derived curricula being taught to their young children. Fox News Digital reached out to the DOE about the educational materials but did not receive a response.
“They are terrified to speak up,” said Labella, who is also running for New York State Senate with a top issue of restoring parents’ rights in education.
Officials announced the Mosaic curriculum $200-million overhaul in July 2021; it was intended to diversify the curriculum and standardize English and math instruction, according to the New York Post. “[Mosaic] will simplify and clarify the work of our educators and better represent our kids,” former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
A number of prominent pundits have long spoken out against efforts to inject such issues into public school classrooms.

You can’t.
Because it doesn’t.

Let kids be kids. Stop pushing a woke agenda on 5-year-old kids and telling them they're evil because they're white. Stop grooming kindergarten kids with a trans + sexual curriculum. They really do believe doing the most horrific things to children is “gender affirmation treatment,” and no different from cancer or leukemia treatment.
Stating the obvious: There are no “trans kids,” because kids don’t understand; there are only groomed, propagandized kids.

The issue is not limited to New York City, as one New York Post op-ed explained in December.
Last week, a California mother raged at the Spreckels Union School District board for allowing teachers to coach her 12-year-old daughter on becoming a boy, choosing a boy’s name and hiding the plan from the family.
A book school libraries offer for kids ages 4 to 8 reads, “This is Ruthie. She is a transgender girl. That means when she was born everyone thought she was a boy. Until she grew a little older — old enough to tell everyone that she’s actually a girl.”
Gender dysphoria — a rare medical condition that makes people feel mismatched with their sexual anatomy — occurs in about 0.6 percent of the adult population, according to the UCLA School of Law’s Williams Institute. Anyone afflicted should be treated with kindness and offered medical help.
It first appears in childhood, but with so few children affected, the curriculum should not be distorted for everyone. Elementary-school teachers are putting words on the blackboard like “nonbinary” and “transgender” even before kids have learned multiplication.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis became one of the most prominent Republicans to back a bill in his state that would limit the way schools address such issues in the classroom.
Here’s a clip from one Fox News interview in which he explained his position.
