Mass Exodus: Three More Twitter Executives Resign Amid Elon Musk Takeover

Twitter is sinking fast.

Another trio of Twitter executives have decided to leave the platform over the possible Elon Musk takeover.

The $44 billion takeover has them abandoning ship at a furious pace.

Ilya Brown, Katrina Lane, and Max Schmeiser all put in their resignations on Tuesday.

Less than a week prior, two top executives were fired from the company by Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal.

Bruce Falck and Kayvon Beykpour were let go because Agrawal wanted to “take the team in a different direction.”

Beykpour was on parental leave when the decision was made.

The New York Post reports on the mass exodus:

Twitter’s executive ranks continued to thin out Tuesday after three senior managers quit as the company has been thrown into turmoil by Elon Musk’s looming $44 billion takeover.

Ilya Brown, a vice president of product management; Katrina Lane, a vice president of Twitter service, and Max Schmeiser, the head of data science, all handed in their resignations, according to Bloomberg News.

“We are thankful for all of their hard work and leadership,” a Twitter spokesperson told Bloomberg.

“We continue to be focused on providing the very best experience to the people on Twitter.”

The departures come less than a week after Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal ousted two top executives — Kayvon Beykpour, the company’s general manager, and Bruce Falck, Twitter’s head of revenue.

Business Standard also reports on the departures:

While Lane and Schmeiser worked at Twitter for nearly one and two years respectively, Brown had been at the micro-blogging platform for nearly six years, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

“We continue to be focused on providing the very best experience to the people on Twitter. We can confirm that they will be leaving Twitter for new opportunities. We are thankful for all of their hard work and leadership,” a company spokesperson was quoted as saying in the report that came out on Tuesday.

These departures come after Project Veritas exposed several Twitter executives in an undercover sting.

One executive mocked Elon Musk by calling him “special:”
