The White House Correspondents Dinner took place for the first time in two years on Saturday night.
It featured remarks from Joe Biden, as well as Trevor Noah from the “Daily Show.”
Suffice to say, the event wasn’t well received.
This was in part due to Biden’s failed leadership, along with the current stack of crises facing the country.
It’s also partly because the event seemed to highlight the growing misalignment between the interests of the American people and the liberal elites currently in power.
Joe Biden somehow seemed far more alert than usual during his speech.
He made jokes about President Donald Trump, COVID-19, and also made light of the ongoing feud between Ron DeSantis and Disney.
He also joked about his own unpopularity…

Fox News has details on the event:
The annual event, which former President Trump refused to take part in during his tenure as commander in chief, was created in 1921 by journalists who covered the White House.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Friday joked about a humorous speech President Biden plans to give: “And I will lower expectations and say it’s not funny at all. Just kidding. See?”
The WHCA comes as the Biden administration faces number of challenges, including rising inflation and concerns of an economic recession, a crisis at the southern border, plummeting approval ratings and a difficult path to maintaining Democratic majorities in Congress.
As usual, Joe Biden wasted no time in making “jokes” at the expense of President Donald Trump:

I suppose Biden will do anything to take attention away from his own failed leadership.
Unfortunately, the whole event only revealed just how tone deaf Biden and the democrats truly are.
Biden’s jokes about COVID-19, his failing approval ratings, and Disney’s indoctrination of children only served to prove that he doesn’t truly take any of these things seriously.

The White House Correspondents Dinner showed that Americans suffering is just a joke to the elites.

I loved the White House correspondents’ dinner.
No other event could possibly have displayed the ruling class’s arrogance, ignorance, and lack of self awareness better than that.
Assembly of universally despised people worshipping each other as heroes and martyrs. Outstanding.

Sir, Joe Biden's comedy is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all. https://t.co/kvVCW6Tl7m

Here is more on what Biden had to say during the dinner from Newsweek:
Taking on the GOP, he called out House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
“Folks I’m not here to roast the GOP, that’s not my style besides there’s nothing I can say about the GOP that Kevin McCarthy hasn’t already put on tape,” he quipped.
He also referenced to the ongoing disputes between Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“Ronald Reagan said, ‘Mr. Gorbachev tear this wall down.’ Today’s Republicans say tear down Mickey Mouse’s house and pretty soon they’ll be storming Cinderella’s castle, you can be sure of it.”
Last year, Biden said he hasn't been to the border because he hasn’t “had a whole hell of a lot of time.”
