The State of the Union was supposed to be Joe Biden’s “big moment” at a time when the nation is facing crisis after crisis.
But it appears that Nancy Pelosi stole the spotlight instead.
While Joe Biden was rambling about “burn pits,” Pelosi awkwardly stood up, and began rubbing her knuckles together.
She wasn’t applauding. She wasn’t cheering.
Rather, she looked like a teenage cheerleader overzealously eyeing the football quarterback.

The moment quickly went viral on social media.
It was so bizarre that even international media is picking up on the story.
According to the Daily Mail:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s bizarre behavior during Biden’s State of the Union address last night distracted viewers from the President’s comments and had some asking if she was ‘on drugs’ or ‘drunk’.
Pelosi was sitting directly behind the President and was in full view throughout the speech, that went on for an hour and two minutes.
The 81-year-old behaved erratically throughout, jumping up and rubbing her knuckles in glee after Biden spoke of soldiers breathing in toxic air at one point.
At other moments, she rubbed her tongue over her teeth inside her mouth.
The bizarre behavior inspired a wave of memes comparing her to Jim Carey in Me, Myself and Irene.
The knuckle-rubbing moment came as Biden talked about Afghanistan veterans who faced inhaling toxic fumes from burn pits during deployment.
‘My administration is providing assistance with job training and housing, and now helping lower-income veterans get VA care debt-free.
‘Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan faced many dangers.
‘One was stationed at bases and breathing in toxic smoke from burn pits.’
The audience starting applauding and Pelosi rose slowly out of her seat, rubbing her hands together and smiling.
But that wasn’t the only strange moment.
At one point during the evening, Pelosi attempted to stand up and applaud, but almost fell over!

Folks, do you remember when President Trump slowly walked down a ramp?
The media covered it breathlessly for 2 days, trying to convince us that something was wrong with him.
In the meantime, Nancy Pelosi almost collapsed on live TV, and no one in the media seems to care!
Talk about the double standard!

“Didn’t think #SOTU could get any worse… then this happens. Why is Pelosi so giddy about burn pits?” podcaster Steven Crowder asked.
The Twitter account for conservative radio show “Bongino Show” called the video “bizarre.”
“Here’s proof that Democrats were only half-listening to Biden’s speech and were told to clap like seals at everything he says. Watch Nancy Pelosi’s reaction when Biden mentions our troops in Iraq breathing in ‘toxic smoke.’ Just bizarre.”
Today, you’ll probably see the media talking about “decorum.”
They’ll complain about a lack of respect for Biden and the seat of the presidency.
