It’s no secret that DeSantis and Trump are the favorites of the GOP.
Strong support from the Republican base for both figures can best be attributed to strong stances on vaccine mandates and woke initiatives such as critical race theory.
In light of this, the mainstream media appears to be conducting a subtle campaign to pit these two powerful voices in the Republican Party against each other.
Such efforts have fallen flat according to many outlets and pundits, but will we see an end to these efforts by the mainstream media to cause a rift between the two, or will the MSM continue to pursue this?
Here’s what we could dig up on the story:
If Trump comes out hard against DeSantis what will the media do then? Because typically they will turn anyone that Trump hates into a hero. But they also hate DeSantis…so 🤷🏽♂️

The Federalist recently reported this in an op-ed:
DeSantis was firm. “This is what the media does and you can not fall for the bait.
You know what they’re trying to do. So don’t take it.” He added that Republicans needed to stay united for a big election later this year, and needed to stay focused on not just fighting but beating the left. “
We need everyone on board. Not just Republicans but independents,” he said, noting that even Democrats are looking at Biden and saying this is not what they want. “We have a chance to broaden our coalition.”

The National Review comments on a recent Washington Post hit piece on DeSantis:
The Washington Post claims that DeSantis gave a speech that “appeared to suggest . . . that getting a shot to protect against the coronavirus could cause infertility.” Joe Cunningham at RedState explains what they left out. The Post’s quotation:
“Think about how ridiculous it is what they’re doing by trying to force the nurses” to get immunized, he said in a speech announcing funding for nursing certification programs. “A lot of these nurses have had covid. A lot of them are younger. Some of them are trying to have families.”
