FBI Claims Motive in Texas Synagogue Hostage Crisis Was “Not Specifically Related to the Jewish Community”

Hours after a tense hostage situation involving an Muslim man and members of a Texas synagogue, The FBI has already determined that the gunman’s motives had nothing to do with racism or the Jewish community.

At least that’s what they’re telling the public.

The FBI Special Agent in Charge had this to say about the gunman’s motivations:

“We do believe from our engaging with this subject that he was singularly focused on one issue, and it was not specifically related to the Jewish community. But we’re continuing to work to find motive,” claimed Agent Matt DeSarno.

That’s right, they’re “working to find motive.”

It had nothing to do with the Jewish community at all.

Let’s get this straight…

Parents who showed up at school board meetings to protest the teachings of critical race theory were called terrorists and “white supremacists” by the media, but the FBI claims that the motivation for a Muslim man demanding the release of an ISIS terrorist by taking hostages at a Jewish synagogue wasn’t motivated by antisemitism…

The hostage crisis was thankfully ended late last night, and the gunman was killed.

The Associated Press reported:

A man held hostages for more than 10 hours Saturday at a Texas synagogue where he could be heard ranting in a livestream and demanding the release of a Pakistani neuroscientist who was convicted of trying to kill U.S. Army officers in Afghanistan.

One of the four hostages held at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville was released during the standoff; three others were rescued when authorities entered the building about 9 p.m., authorities said. The hostage taker was killed and FBI Special Agent in Charge Matt DeSarno said a team would investigate “the shooting incident.”

An FBI and a police spokeswoman declined to answer questions about who shot the man.

DeSarno said the hostage taker was specifically focused on an issue not directly connected to the Jewish community and there was no immediate indication that the man had was part of any broader plan, but DeSarno said the agency’s investigation “will have global reach.”

Fox News slammed the FBI for their statement:

The FBI is facing backlash on social media after an official said that the Texas synagogue hostage taker’s demands were “not specifically related to the Jewish community.”

“The FBI is now an organization solely focused on destroying the domestic enemies of the Democratic Party,” conservative talk radio show Jesse Kelly tweeted Sunday morning. “Any Republican Congress or Presidential candidate who doesn’t loudly proclaim his intention to massively reform or disband this organization should not be considered.”
