Argentinian reporter Carlos Ferrara collapsed during a live broadcast on Argentina’s Channel 9 on Thursday. Ferrara suddenly fainted while covering a news story outside a COVID testing site in Buenos Aires.
Claudio Perez, the Channel 9 anchor, was about to say goodbye to Ferrara when the reporter said, “Sorry Claudio, sorry.”
There was a thumping sound over Ferrara’s microphone feed, and the camera panned over the fainted reporter a few seconds later.
The feed quickly turned away from the disturbing scene as Perez looked visibly shaken watching the reporter lying on the ground.

The COVID World noted:
Claudio can be heard saying “No!” before attempting to move on from the incident.
“Well, Carlos had some difficulty. They will surely attend to him. We are going to make a cut.”
A few minutes later, Claudio clarified:
“The first thing we want to say is that we are waiting for confirmation that they are treating our colleague Carlos Ferrara, who had an incident at the testing site.”

Infobae noted:
According to colleagues from the channel they told Teleshow , the journalist was quickly transferred to the Ramos Mejía hospital in the San Cristobal neighborhood and is stable. “They are doing a tomography because it could be that he comes from the cerebrovascular side but he is stable, normal vital signs and saturates well”, they explained and added that “he is better” although there were still no specific details about his evolution.
After the initial scare, good news about the journalist’s health began to arrive. As this medium could know, Carlos evolved favorably. He is conscious, and little by little he was recovering his speech and reacting positively to stimuli . The journalist was transferred to the Los Arcos sanatorium where the corresponding studies will be carried out. What doctors are still concerned about is knowing the causes of the fainting, since the routine studies showed satisfactory results except for a slightly elevated blood sugar level, but not at a level that would justify the loss of consciousness.
The fainting of Ferrara closely resembles the recent collapse of Brazilian reporter Rafael Silva, who suffered cardiac arrest shortly after receiving his COVID-19 booster.
