It seems you can traverse the depths of the Washington, DC Swamp for an entire lifetime yet never reach the bottom.
These people are everywhere, it’s like they’re just hiding in the walls waiting to reveal themselves at times when morale is low.
Here’s the latest:
Jake Sullivan's wife, an adviser to AG Merrick Garland, is facing growing calls to recuse herself from any involvement in the Durham probe.
Durham's report, which Garland will oversee, could prove embarrassing for Sullivan. https://t.co/12S9EExyEq

Breitbart explained more:
Jake Sullivan’s wife, Margaret Goodlander, is under pressure to recuse herself from Special Counsel John Durham’s Trump-Russia probe, which involves her husband who worked for the 2016 Clinton campaign.
As Durham investigates the Russia Hoax perpetrated on Americans after Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, Jake Sullivan, who serves as President Biden’s national security adviser and is named in an indictment involving the probe, is married to Goodlander, an attorney who works for the Justice Department under Attorney General Marek Garland.
The Durham probe is overseen by Garland, which presents a conflict of interest for Goodlander, whose boss has authority over Durham’s investigative budget, scope, and release of the probe’s outstanding report.
While Sullivan has not been reportedly indicted for any crime related to the Russia Hoax, “the national security adviser could be a witness for the investigation given that he was a foreign policy adviser to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.
“Durham’s report could also reveal embarrassing details about Sullivan’s work on the campaign to dig up dirt on Donald Trump’s possible links to Russia,” the publication added.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) told the publication Goodlander must formally recuse herself from Durham’s investigation to remove any conflict of interest that may arise during the ongoing probe involving her husband.
Maggie Goodlander’s role with the Justice Department was reported on by the Citizen Free Press:
Top adviser to Merrick Garland is facing calls to recuse herself from the Justice Department’s investigation of the Trump-Russia probe, which has looked into the actions of her husband Jake Sullivan.
Margaret Goodlander serves as counsel to Garland, who oversees Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation. Garland has oversight of Durham’s budget, the scope of the investigation, and the release of a report Durham is believed to be writing. Sullivan, who married Goodlander in 2015, has been referenced in Durham’s indictment of a cybersecurity lawyer who worked for the Clinton campaign.
While there is no indication that Durham is targeting Sullivan, he could be a witness for the investigation given his role as a foreign policy adviser to Hillary’s campaign. Durham’s report could also reveal embarrassing details about Sullivan’s work to dig up dirt on Donald Trump.
Sen. Chuck Grassley and the watchdog group Empower Oversight say Goodlander should be formally recused from the Durham investigation to maintain public trust in the probe.
“The Justice Department’s standing guidance calls for employees to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest, especially when it comes to ongoing criminal investigations,” said Grassley.
“It’s in Garland’s best interest—and he’s obligated—to be transparent about whether his department is walling off officials who have a real or even perceived conflict, just as prior administrations have done.”
The New Hampshire Bar Association website provides some additional information about Goodlander, including the interesting facts that she is a Yale graduate, a lieutenant and an intelligence officer in the Navy Reserve, and an ally of the late not-so-great John McStain. You can’t make this stuff up!:
“She went on to Yale University, majoring in history, and upon graduation went to work in the U.S. Senate, where she developed an interest in both legislation and the law, especially working as a policy advisor for Lieberman, himself a lawyer.
McCain, whom Goodlander met through her work with Lieberman, soon asked her to work with him on a bipartisan immigration bill and Goodlander hesitated, telling the Republican McCain she had voted for Obama. “He said something like ‘I know that, goddamit,’” Goodlander recalls, and the deal was sealed.
An intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, where she is a lieutenant, she also serves on the board of directors of New Hampshire Legal Assistance and the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, a nonprofit fostering discussion and citizen involvement in world affairs.”
Perhaps my favorite snippet, which reveals EVERYTHING you need to know about Jake Sullivan:
In her spare time, she and her husband like to rollerblade
Jake looks like he’d be a ‘blader.
It never stops.
Here are some other quick examples of Swamp Creatures popping up over the past years, to prove we’re not making all of this up:
- Maureen Comey, DOJ Southern District of New York, daughter of James Comey and involved with Epstein and Maxwell cases.
- Jill McCabe, ran for VA State Senate in 2015 (lost), received $1.2M from heavily connected Clinton donors
- Lisa Barsoomian, wife of Rod Rosenstein, former Clinton lawyer and government attorney involved in highly sensitive national security cases.
- Melissa Hodgman, wife of Peter Strzok and high ranking employee at the Securities Exchange Commission
- Nellie Ohr, wife of Bruce Ohr, former CIA employee and suspect in the SpyGate coup.
I know I’m probably missing more, so feel free to drop those in the comments!
