Ted Cruz & Rand Paul Slam Fauci After He Claims Criticizing Him is Dangerous Because He Represents Science

America’s most untrustworthy doctor, Anthony Fauci, recently claimed that criticizing him is dangerous.

Why is it dangerous?

In Fauci’s own words: “I represent science.”

Fauci claimed as much when he was recently interviewed on “Face the Naton.”

He also made some snide comments towards two of his biggest critics: Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.

Neither senator was lacking in their responses to Fauci, as both slammed him following the interview for his arrogance and lies.

Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, two of the most frequent Fauci critics, ripped Fauci over his claim that he represents science and thus cannot be criticized.

Here's what Senator Paul had to say via the New York Post:

Paul responded on social media to another part of the “Face the Nation” interview, in which Fauci told Brennan: “Anybody who’s looking at this carefully realizes that there’s a distinct anti-science flavor to this [criticism]. So if they get up and criticize science, nobody’s going to know what they’re talking about. But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, well, people could recognize, there’s a person there.

“So it’s easy to criticize,” Fauci added. “But they’re really criticizing science, because I represent science. That’s dangerous.”

“The absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science,” Paul tweeted. “It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity.“

Here's more on Fauci's initial attack on Ted Cruz from our friends at the Blaze:

During an interview that aired on CBS News' "Face The Nation," Fauci took aim at Paul and Cruz, two Republican lawmakers who have been some of Fauci's loudest critics throughout the pandemic.

When confronted with Cruz's assertion that Fauci should be prosecuted for allegedly lying to Congress, Fauci invoked the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.

"I have to laugh at that. I should be prosecuted? What happened on Jan. 6, Senator?" Fauci said.

Ted Cruz Responds:

The arrogance on display from Anthony Fauci is disturbing.

For someone who claims he's in the business of helping people, he sure seems to take great pleasure in lying to them.

Ted Cruz and Rand Paul may be leading the way in opposing Fauci, but they are not alone:
