In this country you need ID to buy alcohol, but not to vote…
At least that’s what liberals, Democrats, and leftists believe and have been peddling to the public for several years now.
President Trump once famously said: “even Mexico requires voter ID”—pointing out the obvious fact that we have fallen short on an issue that even banana republics and 3rd world countries see as paramount.
The battle for Voter ID laws continues to rage on across the country, and North Carolina is no different.
Recent reports indicate that SCOTUS will be reviewing the NC GOP’s right to intervene in lawsuits which target the state’s voter ID laws.

Fox News confirmed the NC GOP’s reasoning for requesting their right to legal intervention:
Those Republican lawmakers say the state’s Democratic Attorney General John Stein is not properly defending the law from legal challenges brought by the NAACP and other groups who claim it violates the Constitution and the Voting Rights Act.
The people of North Carolina want voter ID.
Did you know the state budget that was passed and signed into law last week includes $5 million to implement Voter ID?

Civil Procedure meets Election Law!
This is a case about NC's voter ID law that asks whether the Republican state legislature can intervene under FCRP 24, or if the Democratic Attorney General adequately represents the state's interests.https://t.co/m7KiPgJRZb

Politico provided this comment from the North Carolina Attorney General’s office:
“Attorneys in our office have worked diligently on behalf of the state throughout this case, and will continue to do so,” Nazneen Ahmed, a spokesperson for North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, said in an email to POLITICO.
