If this is a new form of protest against COVID-19 jab mandates, then I think it’s brilliant.
And hysterical.
However, not everyone in the LAFD thinks this alleged statement was funny.
In protest of the mandate, an L.A. firefighter supposedly dropped his pants and wiped his buttocks with the noncompliance letter handed to him.
And the firefighter’s action left a ‘stain’ on the document before he dropped it to the ground.
The firefighter accused of performing this ‘vulgar’ act is under investigation by the department.

The LA City Stentorians called it an "act of blatant disrespect and harassment"https://t.co/k3nrYzOdPY

From the Los Angeles Times:
The LAFD member responded to receiving the noncompliance letter by dropping his pants and wiping his buttocks with the letter, leaving fecal matter on the document, before dropping it to the ground, according to the Stentorians of Los Angeles City, a group representing African American firefighters.
The situation underscores the deep resistance among some within the Fire Department over the city’s mandate that employees be vaccinated.
LAFD spokeswoman Cheryl Getuiza said the incident is alleged to have occurred on Nov. 18. “The department is aware of the seriousness of the allegations and took immediate action upon learning of this incident,” she said, declining to comment on the details.
Getuiza said the firefighter is on paid administrative leave and “will face the consequences of any inappropriate acts.” She did not elaborate on specifically what prompted the leave.
An LAFD captain and a chief officer witnessed the incident, the Stentorians said in a statement sent to the Board of Fire Commissioners and city leaders. It took place at Fire Station 69 in Pacific Palisades, the group said.
In a statement, the Stentorians said, “The LA City Stentorians are sickened and disgusted by this horrific display of unprofessionalism.” They added, “To date, we have not heard from anyone from the LAFD administration condemning this act of blatant disrespect and harassment.”
The group urged the mayor, City Council, and fire commission to take action and dissuade other city workers from acting in an “embarrassing” manner.
The Stentorians described the firefighter’s actions as a “terminable” offense.
What strikes me as odd is the Stentorians find the firefighter’s reaction more offensive than the city’s mandate.
Do they stand for the best interests of the firefighters they supposedly represent?

Why are the Stentorians a part of this? Also—disrespect I can see, and it was gross, but how was it “harassment”? Or “threatening,” for that matter? https://t.co/iPtWGhcNEk

The Daily Wire provided more details on LA’s COVID-19 jab mandate for city workers:
In October, the L.A. City Council approved a plan that pushed back the deadline given for city workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to December 18. The initial cutoff date was October 20. However, the extension came with a price for unvaccinated holdouts who have $65 deducted from their paychecks twice a week to cover the costs of COVID-19 testing.
City workers who have not requested an exemption or already provided evidence of vaccination must “show proof of full compliance” by December 18, the updated plan says, adding, failure to comply with the requirements “shall result in appropriate and immediate corrective action.”
“Employees must be vaccinated by December 18, and we are putting a rigorous testing program into place in the meantime,” said Democratic Mayor Eric Garcetti in a statement issued last month. “Let me be clear: any employee who refuses to be vaccinated by this date should be prepared to lose their job.”
