Psaki Mocked After Issuing Odd Twitter Defense of Kamala Harris

Jen Psaki issued an odd statement on Twitter defending Kamala Harris after a story released by CNN claimed that Harris was unhappy.

In what at the time seemed like a very random tweet on Sunday night, Psaki stated:

“For anyone who needs to hear it. @VP is not only a vital partner to @POTUS but a bold leader who has taken on key, important challenges facing the country—from voting rights to addressing root causes of migration to expanding broadband.”

Psaki was asked the next day during a press briefing about Harris’ alleged happiness within the Administration, to which she gave a very similar response.

It seems very odd that Psaki would rush to defend Harris in such a way.

Many are now mocking Psaki for trying too hard to talk Harris up.

Our friends at the Daily Wire have more on Psaki's strange defense of Harris:

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was mocked on Sunday evening after she rushed to defend Vice President Kamala Harris following a CNN report that suggested that Harris’ allies in the White House are blaming President Joe Biden and the rest of the administration for her struggling in recent polls.

“For anyone who needs to hear it,” Psaki tweeted on Sunday night. “@VP is not only a vital partner to @POTUS but a bold leader who has taken on key, important challenges facing the country—from voting rights to addressing root causes of migration to expanding broadband.”

Psaki seems to be working really hard to defend Harris...

She was asked about reports that Kamala Harris was unhappy during a press briefing on Monday:

The timing up the tweet, and the subsequent backlash were interesting to say the least...

Fox News has more details on the Biden/Harris relationship drama:

"It is unfortunate that after a productive trip to France in which we reaffirmed our relationship with America's oldest ally and demonstrated U.S. leadership on the world stage, and following passage of a historic, bipartisan infrastructure bill that will create jobs and strengthen our communities, some in the media are focused on gossip — not on the results that the President and Vice President have delivered," Symone Sanders, who serves as senior advisor and chief spokesperson for Harris, wrote.

CNN reporters Edward-Isaac Dovere and Jasmine Wright published an article titled "Exasperation and dysfunction: Inside Kamala Harris' frustrating start as vice president." The article highlights repeated conflicts between Harris, her staff, and the White House.

Harris was recently panned for her overseas trip to France after visiting a COVID-19 lab in Paris where she apparently used a French accent. A recent poll showed Harris' approval rating below Biden's with a 28% approval rating among Americans.

Psaki's comments came after CNN ran a story implying that Harris was unhappy with her current standing within the Biden Administration.

This rift from within is just the latest piece of drama plaguing an Administration that is facing increased criticism and mockery.
