WATCH: Rand Paul Once Again Obliterates Fauci Over Gain of Function, and Then Demands His Resignation

Paul: "You won't admit that it's dangerous, and for that lack of judgment, I think it's time that you resign."

Every single time Rand Paul comes up against Anthony Fauci, Paul absolutely obliterates him.

Today was no exception.

Paul attempted to give America’s most untrusted doctor another chance to come clean about gain of function research at the Wuhan lab, and Fauci again doubled down on his own lies.

Fauci denied that the NIH changed the definition of gain of function on their website.

That’s when Paul had enough and told Fauci he should resign:

"Until you accept responsibility, we're not going to get anywhere close to trying to prevent another lab leak of this dangerous sort of experiment. You won't admit that it's dangerous, and for that lack of judgment, I think it's time that you resign."

Here's more on Paul's verbal KO of Fauci from the New York Post:

The firebrand conservative claimed NIH-funded scientists “created viruses not found in nature” and that Fauci “misled” the American public by refusing to admit it.

“Your repeated denials have worn thin and the majority of Americans, frankly, don’t believe you,” Paul said. “Your persistent denials are not just a stain on your reputation but are a clear and present danger to the country and to the world.”

“You appear to have learned nothing from this pandemic,” Paul said. “I think it’s time you resign.”

Earlier, Paul tried to give Fauci one last chance to take responsibility for his actions, asking:

"Will you today finally take some responsibility for funding gain of function research in Wuhan?"

When Fauci refused, Paul hit back hard, accusing him of changing the definition of gain of function research on the NIH website:

"What you've done is changed the definition on your website to try to cover your ass."

Here's more on Fauci's lies from Fox News:

Under Dr. Fauci’s convoluted definition, no experiment, no matter how deadly the combination, would be considered "gain-of-function" unless the scientists knew in advance that the combination would lead to enhanced lethality.

Under Dr. Fauci’s word salad guidance no experiment combining viruses would ever be denied funding.

The NIH’s old and newly altered website admits that the NIH funds "gain-of-function" research but that it needs to be "conducted in very high biosecurity laboratories." But we can’t even get to the question of whether the Wuhan lab was secure because Dr. Fauci won’t admit that "gain-of-function" research even occurred.

Furthermore, Dr. Fauci continues to support funding for EcoHealth. Despite the possibility of a lab leak in Wuhan, in 2020 the NIH rewarded EcoHealth with a new grant, this time in the amount of $1.5 million per year for five years. Giving more taxpayer money to EcoHeath, an organization that has been less than forthcoming about what happened in Wuhan, is malpractice.
