Military Base “Accidently” Injects 3 Patients With Pfizer Covid-19 Shot Instead of Flu Shot

How can a “mistake” like this just happen?

Three individuals at Joint Base Lewis-McChord located in Tacoma , Washington have reported that they were giving Covid-19 shots even though they were at theĀ  military base’s vaccination site to receive only the flu vaccine.

Colonel Joey Sullinger has stated in a public announcement that the military is aware that individuals were inadvertently vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

He then went on to say that the Army’s medical staff are now contacting the individuals who were given the wrong shots.

If the Army would have never publicly announced their mistake it would have been completely unknown, it just makes you think how many more “mistakes” are happening behind the scenes.

Newsweek had more on the story:

Three individuals at a military base in Tacoma, Washington, were recently given a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine shot while attempting to receive a different vaccine.

Colonel Joey Sullinger of I Corps Public Affairs told Newsweek, “Joint Base Lewis-McChord is aware three people were inadvertently administered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine instead of another vaccine at the Lewis Main Exchange.”

Sullinger added, “Positive corrective action has been taken at this vaccination site to prevent such errors from happening again. Army medical professionals are notifying and ensuring the health and welfare of those affected. This incident is under investigation.”

According to Military Times, the identities of the three individuals that accidentally received the vaccine were not released. The other vaccines they were trying to obtain were also not disclosed.

The Daily Mail got the scoop too:

US Army bosses are investigating after three service personnel went to get a flu shot on base – only to be given a dose of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine instead.

Army officials confirmed the accidental doses were administered at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington earlier this month, to three unidentified people.

‘Joint Base Lewis-McChord is aware three people were inadvertently administered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine instead of another vaccine at the Lewis Main Exchange,’ Col. Joey Sullinger with I Corps Public Affairs told the Military Times.

It looks like there will be a major lawsuit in the near future for the Army.
