Psaki Has No Explanation for Biden’s Strange Coughing Fit

The incident reminded many of the time Hillary Clinton coughed her way through a speech back in 2016.

Earlier this week, Joe Biden traveled to California to give a speech endorsing corrupt governor Gavin Newsom, who somehow escaped with his job intact following a recall election.

I’m not sure how much of a difference Biden’s speech made, as he could barely complete a sentence without breaking into a coughing fit.

One thing is clear though.

Joe Biden is not well…

This reminded many of a similar incident in which Hillary Clinton was giving a speech back in 2016, and couldn’t get passed a nasty cough.

Jen Psaki was asked about Biden’s strange coughing fit at a recent press conference.

She responded by claiming that it wasn’t “an issue of concern.”

Jen Psaki was asked about Biden's coughing fit, as well as the state of his overall health by NBC correspondent Kelly O’Donnell.

Naturally, Psaki dodged the question and said that it was not a concern.

The Independent has more on the exchange between O'Donnell and Psaki:

“Many of us were in the East Room watching the president,” began NBC correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, presumably in reference to remarks about the economy Mr Biden had delivered earlier on.

She continued: “We’ve seen him on many occasions where he has a repeated cough. What is the situation with that cough and is that a concern?”

Ms Psaki responded “It’s not a concern. We have a doctor who travels with him obviously, who checks in if it is ever warranted, and certainly that continues to be the case as it has been since the beginning of his presidency.”

Ms O’Donnell pressed the issue, asking: “Is there an explanation for why he coughs so frequently in situations like that? I’m sure you saw it.”

“I did,” responded Ms Pskai. “I don’t think it’s an issue of concern. I think there are a range of reasons why we may need to clear our throat, or we may have a little light cold. And that’s certainly something that presidents, elected officials, reporters, spokespeople can confront. But it’s not an area where we have a medical concern.”

Psaki says there is no "issue of concern" over Biden's health

America would like answers, but as usual, the Biden Administration refuses to answer the questions.

Our friends at the New York Post have more on the questions posed about Biden's health following his speech earlier this week:

Later in the briefing, Psaki was asked when Biden would get a physical examination.

“I know this is an understandable question. I don’t have an update. He will get one soon. And when he does, we will make sure you all are aware of it and get the information,” she said.

Biden, 78, often stops during speeches or public remarks to clear his throat.

It’s become so common that the hashtag #Bidencough exists on social media.

“Biden coughing, gagging and phlegm gurgling is making me ill. Every television speech full of this. Give the man water PLEASE,” one user wrote on Twitter after the president’s East Room speech.

After he coughed and was hoarse while speaking in December after the Electoral College confirmed his victory in the 2020 election, aides said he was suffering from a slight cold.

More recently, the president hacked at several points during a speech Monday in California in support of Gov. Gavin Newsom in the recall election, causing him to apologize and even pause to take a sip of water.

During the presidential campaign, his doctor, Kevin O’Connor, told the Wall Street Journal that Biden is fit to serve as president, but also noted that he is being treated for high cholesterol, acid reflux disease and seasonal allergies.

Some have compared this speech to one given by Hillary Clinton back in 2016.

Maybe it's just something that happens to liars...

Did Biden's speech look familiar?
