Many are saddened by this, but Allison Williams is departing ESPN.
Williams is leaving due to concerns over the vaccine and fertility issues, which at this time cannot be ruled out due to a lack of data and longitudinal studies on the vaccine.
I say she is an American hero.
People all over The United States are resigning over this vaccine mandate, protesting, or engaging in mass non-compliance.
Just recently, Mike Lindell came out to say that he will not be enforcing vaccine mandates at MyPillow, as have The Daily Wire, and other small business across The United States.
Allison Williams took to Twitter to announce her departure from ESPN:
This will be the first fall in the last 15 years I won’t be on the sidelines for College Football.
My heart hurts posting this but I’m at peace with my decision. pic.twitter.com/np5V3gdrfW— Allison Williams (@AllisonW_Sports) September 9, 2021

Williams’ resignation was reported by The Hill:
ESPN reporter Allison Williams said she will be stepping down for the college football season after she decided to not receive the coronavirus vaccine.
In a statement posted to Twitter on Thursday, Williams said she decided to not get the COVID-19 vaccine while she and her husband are trying to conceive a second child.
The vaccine pushers continue to minimize people’s conscious objections. These are real people with real concerns.

I got the vaccine while pregnant. I’m glad I had the choice, but it was a hard one to make. I completely understand making a different one. I wish you weren’t forced to choose between your job and what you think is best for your health.

The New York Post explained:
Williams has been at ESPN since 2011 and has been one of their most prominent sideline reporters for college football and basketball games; on at least one occasion — last October’s matchup between Miami and Clemson — she was on the network’s top broadcast team with Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler.
As in broader society, vaccine mandates have been a topic of discussion in sports media. The Post’s Andrew Marchand reported that John Smoltz and Al Leiter would be doing their MLB Network work from home out of refusal to get the jab. Smoltz is also the top color commentator on Fox’s baseball coverage, and has continued in that role uninterrupted.
