Biden Shifts Afghanistan Blame to Trump After Tough Questions During Press Conference

Joe Biden likes to say “the buck stops here.”

He likes to pretend that he takes responsibility for the things that happen under his watch.

However, when his feet are truly held to the fire, he immediately shifts the blame back to President Donald Trump.

Biden was asked by Peter Doocy whether or not he bears responsibility for the American deaths in Afghanistan following his failed withdrawal.

Biden first agreed that he indeed took responsibility saying:

“I bear responsibility for, fundamentally, all that’s happened.”

However, he immediately followed that by claiming that President Donald Trump was the one who was truly at fault.

Biden then began verbally berating Doocy for not admitting that it was all Trump’s fault, before laying his head on his own hands in what appeared to be an act of exhaustion.

Biden ran away from Doocy before he was able to throw anymore hard hitting questions.

Doocy has been hitting the current administration with several questions that they haven't been able to answer lately.

On Wednesday, he pressed Jen Psaki on Biden's response to a reporter's question on Afghanistan in which he responded with a joke.

Psaki seemed dumbfounded by the question.

Fox News has more on Psaki's response:

Fox News' Peter Doocy pressed Psaki on Biden's response to the reporter's question, asking her: "What's so funny?"

Psaki appeared to be caught off-guard by the question, focusing her answer instead on the administration's talking points about the ongoing evacuation.

"I think what he conveyed is that he has not — well, what I can convey from here, I should say is that, as he stated yesterday and as the secretary of state just stated, we're on track to complete our mission by August 31st," Psaki responded.

"Obviously there are discussions, and the president received a briefing just this morning — as I noted, he asked yesterday for contingency plans and he received a briefing on them this morning, " Psaki continued. "These are incredibly serious issues and they are discussions that are happening internally."

Psaki has specifically struggled with Doocy's questions as of late.
