Things just seem to be getting worse.
Afghanistan is on fire, our leadership is non-existent, and they’re trying to hire “internment specialists” which may be trained to detain both you and me.
Add to that this newest cyber attack which has hit The State Department.
Not many details are currently known about the attack, but we will keep everyone updated if the story takes an interesting turn.
Here is what we currently know:

Fox Business reports:
It remains unclear when the breach was discovered, though it appears to have occurred a couple of weeks ago.
“The Department takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard its information and continuously takes steps to ensure information is protected,” a department spokesperson told Fox News. “For security reasons, we are not in a position to discuss the nature or scope of any alleged cybersecurity incidents at this time.”

Express UK reported that this wasn’t effecting The U.S. withdrawal from Kabul, though that remains to be seen:
It is unclear when the breach was discovered, but it is believed to have happened a couple of weeks ago, according to Fox News’ White House Correspondent Jacquie Heinrich.
The State Department’s ongoing mission to evacuate Americans and allied refugees in Afghanistan “have not been affected”. The extent of the breach, investigation into the suspected entity behind it, efforts taken to mitigate it, and any ongoing risk to operations remained unclear.
