CNN Reporter: “They’re just chanting ‘Death to America,’ but they seem friendly at the same time.”

Does CNN think what’s happening in Afghanistan is just another “peaceful protest”?

It certainly seems like it.

You’re not going to believe this until you see it.

But a CNN reporter on air just claimed that the Taliban “seems friendly.”

Really?

Friendly?

Folks, THIS is what a real insurrection looks like.

Yet CNN wants you to believe that the Taliban are “friendly” people.

Specifically, here’s what the CNN reporter said:

They’re just chanting ‘Death to America,’ but they seem friendly at the same time.

But like we said, you might need to see it in order to believe that it actually happened:

To be clear:

This is a REAL clip that was broadcast on CNN.

This is not a parody or “comedy.”

This is the so-called “news” that they show to their viewers.

OpIndia is one of the few news organizations who picked up on CNN’s bizarre broadcast:

CNN reporter Clarissa Ward reported from Kabul, Afghanistan that she was told to stand to the side because she was a woman, only confirming that life has changed radically for women in the country. She reported from the ground wearing a Hijab and covered from head to toe in black clothing.

Clarissa Ward said, “They’re just chanting ‘Death to America’ but they seem friendly at the same time.” She described the scene as bizarre, observing that although the Taliban terrorists appeared friendly, the “welcoming spirit only extends so far and my presence soon creates tension.”

Ward also said that she had seen “far fewer women” in the streets of Kabul than on previous occasions and the ones she saw “tend to be dressed more conservatively than they were when they were walking down the streets of Kabul yesterday.”

“They’ve just told me to stand to the side because I’m a woman,” she said at one point. She also said that she was dressed in a fashion she would not normally wear for work.

The CNN reporter was mocked for her choice of words by people on social media, with some commenting that the news network gives satire website The Babylon Bee a run for their money.

Others compared it to an episode of South Park, a satirical animated TV Show.

These sorts of radical comments are not made in a vacuum.

This is unfortunately indicative of the type of radical thinking that CNN viewers are subjected to watch.

Fortunately, several people took to social media to call out the bizarre CNN segment.

It’s also interesting that this CNN reporter called the Taliban friendly.

In addition to the fact that the Taliban was chanting “Death to America,” they actually ordered her to get out of their way.

Why?

Because she’s a woman.

Is she going to call them “sexist but friendly”?

According to The Independent:

CNN’s Clarissa Ward says she was told by Taliban forces guarding the presidential palace in Kabul to step aside “because she’s a woman”.

Ward, dressed all in black and wearing a hijab, took to the streets of Afghanistan’s capital city on Monday to report on the Taliban’s rapid takeover.

Approaching a checkpoint outside the former home of the Afghan president Ashraf Ghani, who fled the country, she said the Taliban were maintaining law and order.

“They’re just chanting death to America, but they seem friendly at the same time,” CNN’s chief correspondent noted.

Moments later, Ward said her presence was creating tension.

“They just told me to stand to the side because I’m a woman,” she said.

She said the sudden downfall of the Afghan Government and chaotic withdrawal of US forces had caused women to stay off the streets.

“I have seen a few women, but I will say I have seen far fewer women than I would ordinarily see walking down the streets of Kabul.”

NATIONAL POLL: Do You Still Have Trump's Back 100%?

The Independent has approached CNN for comment.

Ward said many women feared for their lives with the ascent of the Taliban.

Female journalists in particular were “absolutely petrified” about the prospect of retaliation for their reporting, Ward said.

We all know that if a conservative news outlet made a similar absurd statement, it would be mocked across the world.

Yet… somehow CNN is able to get away with it.
