Time To Boycott? United Airlines Mandates The JAB For ALL Employees

This is coercion of the highest order…..

According to reports, United Airlines is mandating Covid vaccines for all of its employees—all 67,000 of them….

This is the same United that reportedly breaks guitars, and forces paying passengers to get off flights by force….

If I worked for United I would quit, but the decision to leave a decent job is one of the most difficult decisions a person can make.

I will be sure to boycott United Airlines for this move. Not only were they the first major air carrier to require this stateside, but now they are ‘encouraging’ other competitors to do the same thing.

Take a look at United’s new policy:

CNBC reports:

United Airlines will require its 67,000 U.S. employees to get vaccinated against Covid-19 by no later than Oct. 25 or risk termination, a first for major U.S. carriers that will likely ramp up pressure on rivals.

Hours after United’s announcement on Friday, discount carrier Frontier Airlines said its employees must be vaccinated by Oct. 1 or get frequently tested for Covid.

Airlines including United had resisted vaccine mandates for all workers, instead offering incentives like extra pay or time off to get inoculated. Delta Air Lines in May started requiring newly hired employees to show proof of vaccination. United followed suit in June.

United’s requirement is one of the strictest vaccine mandates from a U.S. company and one that includes employees who interact regularly with customers like flight attendants and gate agents.

CNN Business added:

A United spokesperson said the airline will consider on a case-by-case basis employees who seek those health or religious exemptions, and that those employees granted exemptions will have to wear masks at all times.

United said while it has had discussions with its unions on the new rules it has not reached agreements with them.

The three of the largest unions at the airline — the Association of Flight Attendants, the Air Line Pilots Association and the Teamsters, which represents 6,600 mechanics at the airline — all issued statements to their members Friday suggesting the unions will accept the mandate. The flight attendants’ union said 80% of its members are vaccinated, while the pilots’ union said more than 90% for its members.
