The Pentagon is under fire.
According to sources, an incident has occurred at The Pentagon Transit Center which has resulted in multiple injuries.
Not much is currently known about the identity assailants, and it remains to be seen if this is an act of international terror, an isolated incident, or domestic terror.

The Associated Press reports:
Gunshots were fired Tuesday morning near the entrance of the Pentagon, resulting in multiple injuries. The facility, the headquarters of the U.S. military, was placed on lockdown.
The Arlington County Fire Department reported “multiple patients,” but it wasn’t immediately clear if they had been shot or the extent of the injuries.
The incident occurred on a Metro bus platform that is part of the Pentagon Transit Center, the Pentagon Protection Force Protection Agency tweeted.

Politico had more details:
The gunman was shot by a Pentagon police officer and did not get inside the Pentagon building, a Pentagon Force Protection Agency official told POLITICO.
One other officer was injured and is being transported to seek medical attention. There are no additional suspects at this time and the scene is secure. Personnel are still being instructed to remain inside the building for now, the official said.
Following the incident, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency sent out an alert instructing all personnel not to leave the building, Lt. Col. Uriah Orland told POLITICO.
