Fully-Vaccinated Lindsey Graham Tests Positive for COVID-19

Despite being double-jabbed, Senator Lindsey Graham has just tested positive for COVID-19.

This breaking news comes as Democrats have attempted to portray COVID as a “pandemic among the unvaccinated.”

However, it is clear that breakthrough cases are happening left and right.

Just last week, the CDC studied massive breakthrough infections among fully vaccinated individuals in the northeast.

And now, Lindsey Graham is the latest high profile figure to test positive for the Wuhan virus.

It is clear from these tweets that Democrats have politicized the virus.

They don’t care about saving lives.

They simply just want to make themselves look good.

The Hill confirms the breakthrough infection:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said on Monday that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, even though he was fully vaccinated.

“I was just informed by the House physician I have tested positive for COVID-19 even after being vaccinated,” he said.

“I started having flu-like symptoms Saturday night and went to the doctor this morning. I feel like I have a sinus infection and at present time I have mild symptoms. I will be quarantining for ten days,” he added.

Graham is the first senator known to test positive for the coronavirus in months, and the first known “breakthrough” case among vaccinated senators. A CNN survey earlier this year found that only four out of 100 senators, at the time, were not vaccinated.

Graham’s announcement comes amid growing public concern about the potential for so-called breakthrough cases, or when a fully vaccinated person tests positive for the coronavirus.

Public health officials have stressed that symptomatic breakthrough infections for fully vaccinated individuals are rare and getting vaccinated makes getting a severe case of the coronavirus less likely.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, less than 1 percent of fully vaccinated Americans have had a breakthrough case that results in hospitalization or death.

Democrats fail to understand the actual story here.

The story isn’t simply that Graham got COVID-19.

The real story is that he was fully vaccinated AND still got COVID-19!

Graham said in a tweet that the House physician notified him of his positive test despite being fully-vaccinated. He said he begun having flu-like symptoms Saturday night, and that he will be quarantining for ten days.

While the Senate has not formally issued a mask mandate, Graham was reportedly seen wearing a mask on Monday, according to a Politico reporter.

Graham’s announcement came as the United States contends with a surge of the delta variant of Covid, and as the Biden administration urges more people to get vaccinated.

It has been rumored that Graham went boating with some colleagues over the weekend.
