Bribery and pay to play tactics?
The F.B.I. has been at the center of many scandals over the last several years, and this is just one more drop in the bucket as far as I am concerned.
New reports show a senior level F.B.I. official received presents from journalists while investigating President Trump.
It would appear as if journalists were cozying up to The F.B.I. in order to achieve a specific goal. After all, why give gifts you know you aren’t supposed to give during such a sensitive time?
Looks like President Trump was spot on in calling out mainstream media reporters for colluding with The F.B.I., and for taking part in media leaks designed to hurt him.
Here’s what we currently know about the gifts:

The Epoch Times had more to report:
The inspector general’s office, according to report, said the unnamed official had “received items of value from members of the media” and had “numerous unauthorized contacts with the media” between 2014 and 2016.
Describing the behavior as a violation of the FBI’s policy, the report said the FBI official had “unauthorized social engagements outside of FBI Headquarters involving drinks, lunches, and dinners.”
The official also accepted tickets from media members to two black-tie dinner events, including one valued at $300 and the other at $225. They also received transportation to the event from a reporter, who was not named, the report said.

A previous report from Daily Caller shows that this behavior isn’t uncommon within The F.B.I:
Michael Kortan, who served as assistant director of public affairs, displayed a “lack of candor” during multiple interviews under oath with the DOJ watchdog about how he obtained the tickets, who he went with, and whether he reimbursed the CNN journalist, according to the report.
“The OIG…concluded that Kortan lacked candor under oath when he provided answers to OIG’s questions relating to the September 2016 tickets that were misleading and false,” reads the report, which the DCNF obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.
