Audit Coming To TEXAS SOON?

A forensic audit may be coming to Texas soon…..

According to reports, Democrat officials were fleeing the state ahead of a motion to file for a forensic audit in Texas. Republicans in the state were effectively blocked from passing the motion because these Democrats weren’t present.

The audit is geared towards looking at certain counties ‘won’ by Biden.

It remains to be seen whether or not the audit will go forward, but I have a hunch that Democrats can only delay this audit for a brief period of time.

The audit may prove to be inevitable, as evidence from other state audit proceedings continues to make its way into reports.

This is what we currently know:

Washington Examiner wasn’t shy with the details:

The legislation, filed last week by state Rep. Steve Toth, could have Texas follow Arizona’s GOP-led Senate’s lead in conducting a partisan inspection of election machines and materials that has prompted criticism from Democrats and state officials who say there is no evidence backing former President Donald Trump’s claims of widespread fraud.

The audit would target counties with populations of more than 415,000 people and calls on the governor, lieutenant governor, and House speaker to appoint an “independent third party” to conduct the review between Nov. 1, 2021, and Feb. 1, 2022.

A report is mandated to be delivered to Texas officials by March 1, 2022, “detailing any anomalies or discrepancies in voter data, ballot data, or tabulation,” according to the bill.

The Fort Worth Star Telegram  had more local coverage of the proposed audit:

The audit would apply to Bexar, Cameron, Collin, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Fort Bend, Harris, Hidalgo, Montgomery, Tarrant, Travis and Williamson counties. Biden won all of them except Collin, Denton and Montgomery.

Former U.S Attorney General William Barr has said there’s was no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 general election that could have altered the results.

In Arizona, a 2020 battleground state won by Biden, Senate Republicans have enlisted contractors to audit the 2020 election. The audit centers on the vote count in Maricopa County.
