The situation in Cuba is terrifying and sad.
Citizens continue to protest and speak out against the communist country.
American media, politicians, celebrities, and athletes are still refusing to condemn the evils of communism as a whole.
Former failed NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is one of several such individuals.
Kaepernick has been vocally supportive of the communist country’s government.
He has even worn shirts with Fidel Castro’s face.
Unfortunately, several athletes over the past few years have been quite supportive of communism.
UFC star Jorge Masvidal is not one of them.
Masvidal’s family saw the horrors of the Cuban regime first-hand, and he has personally shared some of those stories in recent interviews.
Masvidal is now taking aim at Kaepernick, who he recently labeled a “coward” in a post oin Instagram.
Masvidal said this of the troubled former NFL qb:
“Cowards like this fool should be sent to live in Cuba see what they say after a day there.”
The Daily Caller has more details on this KO from Masvidal:
UFC star Jorge Masvidal isn’t a fan of Colin Kaepernick.
Masvidal, who is the son of a Cuban refugee, has been very vocally supporting the protests and uprisings on the island against the dictatorship.
According to BroBible, Masvidal posted a photo on his Instagram story of Kaepernick in a Fidel Castro shirt, and wrote, “Cowards like this fool should be sent to live in Cuba see what they say after a day there.”
Masvidal may have just knocked Kap out faster than he did poor Ben Askren...
Fox News has more on Masvidal, who shed some light on his family's history in fleeing communist Cuba:
Masvidal shed some light on his family’s history escaping from the Cuban regime. He described the Cuban government as a "killing machine."
"My father escaped Cuba when he was 14 years old," Masvidal said in a video. "And I’ve only heard the horror stories since I could process thoughts of how s--- this communist regime, killing machine is. So I just want to shed some light on Cuba – big SOS signal for them.
"This oppression has been going on for 61 years. It’s not just because of the pandemic, or it’s not just because they ran out of medicine, because they’ve been out of medicine, they’ve been out of resources and food. Because of the corrupt government, the extreme corruption over there where only a few at the top eat and everybody else has to suffer – those days have to come to an end."
He called for the world to rally behind Cuba. He believes it’s everyone’s job to put the word out there about "these corrupt governments."
Jorge Masvidal Shares His Support for Cuban Protestors
It's great to see an athlete stand up for something that is truly worthwhile.
Losers like Colin Kaepernick and Lebron James have made millions by supporting communist countries.
Maybe it's time the true heroes in the world of professional athletics get paid for standing up to those evils.
President Donald Trump said it best:
"Give him alot of money."
