As should have been expected, President Donald Trump’s Ohio rally was a complete success.
Of course you wouldn’t know that if you listened exclusively to the mainstream media.
CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News all opted to barely cover President Trump’s rally.
In fact, Fox News pretended it didn’t even happen.
Newsmax did cover the event though, and they have the ratings to prove it.
The rally drew over 3 million viewers for Newsmax, easily surpassing Fox News and company.
Dispite the mainstream media’s best efforts to censor President Trump, the man still garners huge ratings.
Newsmax shared the story, which left Fox News and company in the ratings dust:
Donald Trump's super-charged return to the political stage over the weekend was a ratings smash for Newsmax, which trounced Fox News in key ratings.
According to Nielsen, 1.9 million cable viewers tuned into Newsmax to watch the network's coverage of the former president's rally Saturday in Wellington, Ohio.
Newsmax estimates another 1.3 million viewers watched through free streaming devices, bringing Newsmax's total viewership over 3 million. Fox News did not air the President's rally live.
Newsmax's Nielsen ratings success is even more astounding considering Newsmax is carried in about 30 million less U.S. cable homes than Fox.
Still, in a key demo of 35-64, Newsmax had cable impressions per minute of 483,000 viewers, compared to Fox's 409,000.
Even with a significantly larger reach than Newsmax, Fox was able to eke out a small win in total impressions, 1.53 million to Newsmax's 1.4 million.
Newsmax had more than double CNN's impressions and triple MSNBC's, during the same time period.
The Nielsen Coverage Rating indicates from 8 p.m. Eastern — when Trump's speech started until its end at 9:30 p.m. — Newsmax had a household Coverage Rating of 2.01, while Fox drew just 1.60 during the same time period.
Perhaps the other news outlets should have thought twice about not covering the news this week.
The Daily Caller has more on what President Trump had to say about the low ratings since the media stopped covering him:
Former President Donald Trump said in a statement Tuesday that news ratings for CNN, ‘MSDNC,’ and Fox have dropped since he left office.
“CNN ratings are down 70%. MSDNC is also way down,” Trump said. “Actually, they are ALL way down. They say the news is ‘boring’ since I left D.C. Morning Joe, Joy Reid (whoever that is?), Nicole Wallace, Jake Tapper, and even Chris Wallace, at Fox, in free fall. A wonderful thing to see!”
CNN’s ‘The Lead with Jake Tapper’ has lost approximately 75% of its audience since Trump left office in January, according to Fox News. Tapper’s show averaged about 2.8 million viewers in January and dropped to about 706,000 between May 31 and June 23, according to Fox News.
