Looks like there is ZERO consensus.
We keep hearing “trust the science”, but most doctors and surgeons seem to be mistrustful of “the science”. Personally, I think a lot of these folks talking about “trusting the science” really just trust the television.
According to a new survey conducted by The AAPS, most of the doctors and surgeons who responded aren’t even vaccinated.
Just how many you ask?
58% according to their survey.
This isn’t medical advice, and I am not a doctor, but how telling is it that doctors and surgeons themselves are hesitant about this vaccine?
Maybe before anyone points the finger at anyone else for not taking the jab, they should look at their own medical professionals behavior—not just empty words.
Take a look:
It's astonishing that the host thinks that the problem with doctors not being willing to stake their credibility on the vaccine is the reduced access to vaccines, rather than, you know, the problems with the vaccine that make doctors hesitant to stake their credibility on them. https://t.co/WX2Va1n8ft

Taken directly from The AAPS website:
Other reasons for declining the shot included unknown long-term effects, use of aborted fetal tissue, “it’s experimental,” availability of effective early treatment, and reports of deaths and blood clots.
Of 560 practicing physicians, 56 percent said they offered early treatment for COVID.
Nonphysicians were also invited to participate in the survey. Of some 5,300 total participants, 2,548 volunteered comments about associated adverse effects of which they were aware. These included death, amputation, paralysis, stillbirth, menstrual irregularities, blindness, seizures, and heart issues.
“Causality is not proven. However, many of these episodes might have resulted in a huge product liability or malpractice award if they had occurred after a new drug,” stated Dr. Orient. “Purveyors of these COVID products are protected against lawsuits.”
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons has represented physicians in all specialties since 1943. Its motto is omnia pro aegroto, everything for the patient.

USA Today had a related report:
Hospital workers, many of whom risked their lives during this pandemic and saw the ravages of the virus up close, were first in line for the vaccines. Yet Nevens is among a sizable group of hospital workers still not vaccinated.
USA TODAY surveyed some of the largest hospital networks and public hospitals in the country. At the nine networks that responded, fully vaccinated rates ranged from 53% to 72%. Rates among 15 of the nation’s largest public hospitals ranged from 51% to 91%.
The survey encompassed 276 hospitals, or about 4.5% of the nation’s hospitals. Most fell below President Joe Biden’s goal of 70% by July 4. Staff included ranged from workers with medical training, such as doctors and nurses, to those in support roles, such as cafeteria workers.
The fact that so many hospital workers remain unvaccinated is troubling news for public health officials who are counting on the vaccines to stop the spread of the virus. Experts worry that the rest of the population will follow suit.
