President Trump: “Did Joe Biden Put Hunter In Charge Of Our Energy?”

President Trump’s blasted Joe Biden’s mishandling of the Colonial Pipeline attack

In his latest statement released on his communication platform, President Trump let American’s know what he thinks about the current gas shortages.

Trump started off his statement by saying if there was gas shortages under his presidency then there would be national outrage and non stop coverage from the fake news media.

He went on to say “Did Joe Biden put Hunter in charge of our energy, with all of his Burisma experience?”.

Trump’s comments is in reference to Hunter’s former position as board member of a Ukrainian Gas company called Burisma.

The Washington Examiner covered Trump’s statement see what they had to say:

President Donald Trump took aim at President Joe Biden in the aftermath of the Colonial Pipeline attack, asking if he put his son Hunter Biden in charge of the nation’s energy.

“If there were long and horrible gas lines like this under President Trump, the Fake News would make it a national outrage!” Trump said in a statement Wednesday. “Did Joe Biden put Hunter in charge of our energy, with all of his Burisma experience? Even Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is lost!”

Trump’s comments come as much of the East Coast grapples with the fallout from a cyberattack on the nation’s largest oil pipeline, the Colonial Pipeline. The attack, which shut down the pipeline, caused several states to declare states of emergency that will temporarily lift restrictions on transporting oil by road.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Tuesday warned people against “hoarding” gasoline, which she said would create a “supply crunch.”

“Much as there was no cause for, say, hoarding toilet paper at the beginning of the pandemic, there should be no cause for hoarding gasoline, especially in light of the fact that the pipeline should be substantially operational by the end of this week and over the weekend,” Granholm said at the White House press briefing.

The national average for a gallon of gas surpassed $3 for the first time since 2014 on Wednesday, with experts warning that delays to reopening the pipeline could affect the summer’s travel season.

Here’s Trump’s full statement:

Fox News gave an update on the current gas shortage and had this to say:

Fuel shortages have widened across the East Coast as consumers continue to panic buy amid the fallout from a cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline last week by Russian ransomware group Darkside.

The 5,500-mile pipeline system transports more than 100 million gallons of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and heating oil per day, or roughly 45% of fuel consumed on the Eastern Seaboard between the Gulf Coast and the New York metro area.

Colonial Pipeline Co. said on Monday that it is aiming to substantially restore its system by the end of the week.

Gasbuddy senior petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan noted that Monday’s gasoline demand soared across the country.

The East Coast reported a 32.5% increase in demand Monday compared to the previous week, followed by the Midwest at 16.2%, the Gulf Coast at 13.1%, the Rocky Mountain region at 6.6% and the West Coast at 8.4%.

If this happened under Trump’s watch I imagine liberal networks like CNN would put a gas station shutdown tracker on the side of the tv screen just like how they had a COVID death tracker banner on their network for months.
