Is an endorsement from OJ Simpson even helpful?
Rep. Liz Cheney who has been very outspoken on her hatred of Trump apparently has a new fan by the name of OJ Simpson.
OJ Simpson who is a former NFL player and infamous for being found “not guilty” for the murder of his ex wife, has put out a video endorsing Liz Cheney.
In the video Simpson said he was a fan of Cheney because she “stands up for the truth. That’s gotten her a lot of heat”.

Breitbart News covered Cheney’s endorsement from OJ Simpson:
OJ Simpson, former professional American football player, showed support Monday afternoon for embattled Republican House Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY), saying “the reason I didn’t like her, had to do with her father,” former Vice President Dick Cheney.
The Juice, sharing his insight on the recent Republican House leadership dispute, quoted Voltaire, saying “‘patriotism was the enemy of mankind,’” in his reason behind standing up for Liz Cheney. He said he “thought about that a little bit.”
During the recent weeks, watching cable news, said he “was not a fan of Liz Cheney.” Then he added, “don’t get me wrong, I’m 50/50 on her politics, but I didn’t like her. And then I just realized recently, the reason I didn’t like her had to do with her father,” describing him as “probably my least favorite politician of my adult life.”
Simpson then pondered the Republican Party: “it seemed that fact-based truth and honesty seem to be the enemy of many of these Republican politicians.”
The Juice, who has an interesting relationship with the truth, said, “Liz Cheney stands up for the truth. That’s gotten her a lot of heat.”
“She may lose her position in the party,” he lamented. “She may even lose her career as a politician.”

Fox News got the scoop too:
OJ Simpson sounded off Tuesday on the Republican Party leadership battle in the U.S. House of Representatives, supporting House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney of Wyoming, who is facing stiff opposition over her decision to vote in favor of President Trump’s second impeachment, and claiming Trump’s rhetoric “can provoke violence again” after right-wing activists broke into the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
Cheney, the 3rd-ranking House Republican, also earned the ire of her colleagues by continually rebuffing claims Trump’s loss to Joe Biden was affected by election irregularities. Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York is widely seen as Cheney’s successor, should she lose her Wednesday confidence vote.
Simpson, 73, took to Twitter to defend Cheney while simultaneously criticizing her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, as the “least favorite politician of my adult life.”
“I’ve got to admit I was not a fan of Liz Cheney — don’t get me wrong I’m 50-50 on her politics — but I didn’t like her,” he said.
“And then I just realized recently the reason I didn’t like her had to do with her father — probably my least favorite politician of my adult life — former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Simpson then paraphrased a quote from 18th Century French writer Voltaire, saying “patriotism is the enemy of mankind,” and adding that Cheney is appearing to break from her GOP colleagues in defending “truth” rather than her party.
This man is completely delusional by calling Liz Cheney a patriot!
I’m sure this endorsement by OJ will sink her even deeper in the polls.
