Looks like HQ is about to move.
I want to make sure I am not the only one here, but who else feels like Mar-A-Lago has become the new White House?
It’s not like we got much leadership going on at the other place in D.C.
Anyway, the media are all saying that President Trump will be temporarily living in Jersey for the summer on a golf course up there.
I wish him all the best, but I wonder why Jersey of all places?
Take a look:
Daily Mail reported:
Donald Trump is to relocate from Florida to New Jersey this summer, according to a report - escaping the stifling heat, and putting him closer to his New York business empire and political network.
The former president, 74, officially moved his residency for tax purposes from New York to Florida in late 2019.
As president, he spent a significant amount of time during the winter in Florida, and during the summer he would escape Washington for New Jersey, staying at his Bedminster golf club.
He now looks to continue that pattern.
NJ.Com had more to say:
That could mean a procession to New Jersey of Republicans seeking his endorsement and a new round of fundraising events both for his own political committee and allied GOP candidates, as has taken place at Mar-a-Lago.
It also puts Trump closer to New York City, a prime fundraising location. Residents of the New York City metropolitan area contributed $18.5 million to his 2020 re-election effort, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That was his eighth largest source of campaign cash.
Trump’s 2020 campaign manager, Bill Stepien, did not respond to requests seeking comment. There also was no response to a request for comment submitted to his website.
