McCarthy Threatens Legal Action Against Waters For Inciting Violence in Minneapolis

McCarthy: "If Speaker Pelosi doesn’t act against this dangerous rhetoric, I will bring action this week."

The stunning hypocrisy of the democrat party has gone too far.

Democrats have baselessly claimed for the last several years that republicans, including President Donald Trump, have incited violence.

The only problem with these false accusations is that 90% of the violence over the last 4 years has been perpetrated by extremists on the far-left.

These accusations have been thrown around while high-profile democrats have gotten away with inciting actual violence.

The name Maxine Waters always comes to mind when talkling about democrat-incited violence.

Well, Mad Maxine is at it again, as she recently called for the already violent protestors in Minneapolis to be “more confrontational” if they don’t get the verdict they want from the Derek Chauvin trial.

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy has had enough.

McCarthy is demanding action be taken against Waters for her incitement of violence in Minneapolis.

Our friends at Breitbart have the scoop:

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy on Sunday night pressed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to take action against Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) for “inciting violence” in remarks she made in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, this weekend.

McCarthy said that if Pelosi does not act, he intends to take action of his own against Waters for her remarks encouraging violence in Minnesota if a jury does not find former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty in his trial in the death of George Floyd.

Waters, in her remarks to reporters at a protest in Brooklyn Center where thousands have been protesting the death of Daunte Wright, encouraged people to “take to the streets” if Chauvin is not found guilty of murder — one of the several charges he faces in his trial in Floyd’s death, which is expected to conclude this coming week.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict,” Waters said. “And we’re looking to see if all of the talk that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd, if nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice. But I am very hopeful, and I hope we are going to get a verdict that says ‘guilty, guilty, guilty.’ If we don’t, we cannot go away.”

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy's comments come following this from Waters:

The Blaze has more on the calls to punish Mad Maxine for her hateful rhetoric:

In a statement, the New York Post editorial board said that the California congresswoman was "trying to create a civil war" and that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) ought to strip Waters of her committee assignments and "move for a vote to remove Waters from office."

A lengthy op-ed added, "In supporting the second impeachment of President Trump, California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters said he was 'inciting' his followers, and was 'trying to create a Civil War.'"

"By her own standards, Maxine Waters should be impeached and removed," the board noted.

Other notable voices included Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who said that Democrats were "actively encouraging riots & violence."

"They want to tear us apart," he added.

Comedian and BlazeTV host Steven Crowder added, "If Trump was removed from Twitter AND Facebook for 'inciting violence' then Maxine Waters needs to be federally charged and impeached."

Attorney and columnist Kurt Schlicter added, "This is an insurrection."

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) tweeted, "The Radical Left don't care if your towns are burning, if there's violence in your streets, or if the police are too defunded to defend their communities. As long as the Left appeases their anti-America base, their job is done."

This woman's vile incitement of violence must come to an end.

She has gotten away with this for years, and Americans are sick of it.
