Do you want this trend to continue?

Mercer County, has become the latest county I know of to become a 2nd Amendment sanctuary, and I LOVE the trend.

The federal government has become like The English Crown of old. They think they can just do whatever they want, and that citizens will simply take it.

We could ALL learn a lesson from Mercer.

If YOU are involved in local politics, make sure to push for 2nd Amendment protections in YOUR county!

NBC affiliate WVVA reported:

Several pieces of gun control legislation in Virginia prompted a wave of Second Amendment Sanctuary counties and cities across the Commonwealth.

Tuesday evening over in West Virginia, Mercer County Commissioners heard a similar resolution presented by Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler.

Though none have been formally introduced in the Legislature, Sitler claims there has been talk of potential 'red flag laws' or high-capacity magazine restrictions - which he says would infringe on citizens' rights to keep and bare arms.

Still, the resolution passed unanimously.

OAN  had a related report:

In Missouri’s fight to protect gun laws, Camden County has become the state’s first Second Amendment sanctuary county.

The Second Amendment Preservation Act, which is currently before the state Senate, will aim to invalidate federal restrictions on responsible gun ownership. This would include tracking sales taxes and prohibitions on possessing, owning or transferring firearms.

First District Commissioner James Gohagan stated the county passed the ordinance that they said will protect the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution undeniably.

“All federal acts, laws, orders, rules and regulations, past, present, future, which infringe on the rights to people to keep to bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States and the Constitution shall be invalid in this county,” Gohagan said.
