I’ll give you three guesses as to how he is doing……..
Apparently, the vast majority of conservatives disapprove of Mitch, and his RINO politicking. This should not be a surprise to any of us.
What I don’t get is the lack of insight here.
President Trump is pretty much The GOP at this point. If the old establishment does not accept this, there will simply be a third Trump-centered party which will sap all the GOP voters away.
Why can’t Mitch or any of these RINO’s read the room?
They have always been interested in power, this is why their anti-Trump attitudes are puzzling at this point……its not doing them any favors among conservative voters who overwhelmingly want Trump.
If they continue on with their old ways it will be their undoing, and that is pretty obvious to anyone paying even a little bit of attention right now.
Take a look:
Breitbart reported:
The survey, taken February 12-15, among 1,987 registered voters, asked respondents to rate a number of prominent politicians, including the minority leader.
A majority have an unfavorable view of McConnell, 64 percent, compared to 18 percent who expressed a favorable view. His unfavorability rating is higher than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA). Fifty-three percent gave the 80-year-old speaker an unfavorable rating compared to 37 percent who expressed favorable views. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also fares better than McConnell, seeing 31 percent favorability and 42 unfavorability.
The survey’s margin of error is +/- 2 percent.
McConnell has remained at odds with both Trump and the base of his party following the presidential election and the legislative battles that followed, particularly over his resistance to offer $2,000 checks to the American people in the last coronavirus relief package.
The Hill had more on the story:
A new poll released on Friday shows that a majority of Kentuckians disapprove of their state's senior senator, the GOP leader Mitch McConnell.
A survey conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy found that 53 percent of Kentuckians disapproved of McConnell’s performance as one of Kentucky’s senators, compared to 41 percent who approve. Six percent were unsure.
The poll comes months after McConnell won another term in the Senate. He coasted to victory in November over Democrat Amy McGrath, earning 58 percent of the vote to McGrath's 38 percent.McConnell has faced challenges since November with division in his party. He surprised many observers in January after a pro-Trump mob attacked the Capitol by signaling it was possible he could vote to convict former President Trump in an impeachment panel.
