It looks like Cuomo might actually have to start being accountable for his reckless response to COVID.
Seven Representatives from New York have asked the Department of Justice to subpoena documents that show Gov. Cuomo covered up the deaths of Nursing Home residents.
The news comes after New York’s Democratic Attorney General Letitia James discovered that Cuomo undercounted Nursing Home deaths by up to 50%.

The New York Post broke the story:
Seven congressmembers from New York are asking the Justice Department to subpoena Gov. Andrew Cuomo for documents on what they are calling his “coverup” of deaths from COVID-19 among nursing home residents.
The group wants acting US Attorney General Monty Wilkinson to seize documents that could provide additional information following a bombshell report released last week by New York’s Democratic Attorney General Letitia James.
James reported that Cuomo’s administration undercounted nursing home deaths by about 50 percent after requiring the facilities to accept infected patients in March.

The Hill covered the story too:
New York’s Republican House delegation is asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to subpoena New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) over the state’s handling of COVID-19 in nursing homes.
The lawmakers led by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) sent a letter to acting Attorney General Monty Wilkinson on Wednesday requesting the DOJ subpoena Cuomo, Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa and State Commissioner of Health Howard Zucker and their staff for documents relating to the state’s COVID-19 nursing home policies.
The letter comes roughly one week after New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) released a report in which she found that the state underreported the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes by around 50 percent.
While Cuomo was on practically every network possible boasting about New York’s response to COVID, thousands of elderly people were dying in Nursing Homes due to Cuomo’s negligence.
