Politically correct liberals are continuing to banish our American heroes from history.
A San Fransico Board has decided to change 44 school names in their district due to the school’s names being linked to American patriots.
Among the most notable figures whose names will no longer be used are George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson.
The district says it will cost upwards of 1 million dollars to change the name of the 44 schools.
As parents struggle w distance learning, SF School Board finds time to finalize plans to rename 44 public schools— including 1 named after the city’s FIRST FEMALE MAYOR & sitting US Senator. I’ll be talking politics & process on @KCBSRadio at 7:50am today— tell me what you think!

I love so many lines in this @EskSF smackdown of the school board's vote to rename 44 schools, it's hard to pick the best.
"The SF Board of Education decided that it’s okay to name a school after Willie Brown or Philip Burton, but not Abraham Lincoln."https://t.co/sAth8IKIcQ

Breitbart News got the full scoop:
Schools in San Francisco, California, will be stripped of names honoring famous American leaders deemed unworthy because of a connection to slavery or other unsavory ties, including Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson.
John Muir, Francis Scott Key, and Catholic Priest Junipero Serra are also on the list.
In all, 44 school will be renamed, even as critics of the decision cite the committee tasked with picking the schools did not receive enough input from historians and a lack knowledge about the current school names.
I really miss SF but not this part of it https://t.co/cd4XK8NQGN

The New York Times covered the story also:
Maybe it was the suddenness, that 44 names were being deleted all at once. Or maybe it was the feeling by many that the Board of Education had gone one step too far, and during a wrenching pandemic to boot. Whatever the reasons, the decision to wipe out one-third of the city’s school names, including ones honoring Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln, has struck a nerve in San Francisco.
Less than 12 hours after the city’s Board of Education voted to change the names, Mayor London Breed lashed out at the decision, questioning the board’s priorities. “Let’s bring the same urgency and focus on getting our kids back in the classroom, and then we can have that longer conversation about the future of school names,” Ms. Breed said.
Other names slated for deletion: President Herbert Hoover; John Muir, the naturalist and author; James Russell Lowell, an abolitionist poet and editor; Paul Revere, the Revolutionary War figure; and Robert Louis Stevenson, the author.
