Why has this taken so long?
In August the Virginia Board of Elections declared that mail-in ballots that arrive three days after the election without any postmarks would be counted as legal votes.
Well, now A Virginia judge has finally ruled that the Virginia Board of Elections’ new rule regarding mail-in ballots was illegal.
This is great news but the bigger question is why is this ruling now taking place 9 days after the inauguration?

The Blaze covered the Judge’s decision:
Last August, the Virginia Board of Elections issued a rule that would’ve allowed elections officials to count late mail-in ballots that arrived without a postmark up to three days after the November election. On Monday, a state judge ruled that the board’s decision was illegal.
Virginia Circuit Court Judge William Eldridge said that Virginia’s mail-in ballot rule violated state elections law and issued an injunction preventing the state from adopting the rule for future elections, the Daily Caller reported. The judge’s decision was announced by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), a legal group representing Frederick County electoral board member Thomas Reed in his case against the state mail-in ballot law.

MSN chipped in too:
A Virginia Circuit Court judge ruled that the state’s last-minute changes to election law allowing mail-in ballots to arrive late without a postmark were illegal.
“This is a big win for the Rule of Law,” said Public Interest Legal Foundation President J. Christian Adams, who represented Frederick County electoral board member Thomas Reed in the case. “This consent decree gives Mr. Reed everything he requested — a permanent ban on accepting ballots without postmarks after Election Day and is a loss for the Virginia bureaucrats who said ballots could come in without these protections.”
The case was over a Virginia Board of Elections rule issued in August that allowed mail-in ballots without a postmark to be received up to three days after the November election.
President Trump has been saying the rules changes on mail-in ballots have been illegal since day one.
It’s about time a judge stands for the truth!
