We learn something new everyday don’t we?
I am from New York City, and I have never been a big fan of Rudy Giuliani. I don’t hate the guy, but he is a bit too lukewarm for me.
I was definitely a bit disappointed when he became the centerpiece of the legal efforts instead of Sidney Powell, but I thought that the guy who had taken down the mafia would be able to perform.
Well…….I was wrong.
It appears that from day 1, Rudy has been jerking our chain and horsing around, and reports are alleging that President Trump thinks so too.
The President is reportedly refusing to pay Rudy’s $20,000 a day legal fee, and you wanna know something? I wouldn’t either after the terrible job he did!
Here is the part that really interests me: the competing media narratives. Apparently, President Trump is refusing to pay Giuliani’s fees, but also wants to use him in the impeachment trial.
A trial which will probably not even come to pass, so what is going on here?
Could this be a strategy President Trump is using to ‘create maximum chaos’ and confuse his enemies? The President is after all a student of Sun Tzu’s teachings…….
Take a look:
The Daily Wire had more on the legal fees and potential falling out:
President Donald Trump has reportedly instructed his aides not to pay the legal fees that attorney Rudy Giuliani has racked up in recent weeks as he tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The Washington Post reported that Trump’s relationship with Giuliani has soured in recent days and is “fracturing” as the president comes to grip that his presidency will end next week.
“Trump has instructed aides not to pay Giuliani’s legal fees, two officials said, and has demanded that he personally approve any reimbursements for the expenses Giuliani incurred while traveling on the president’s behalf to challenge election results in key states,” the report said. “They said Trump has privately expressed concern with some of Giuliani’s moves and did not appreciate a demand from Giuliani for $20,000 a day in fees for his work attempting to overturn the election.”
The president is reportedly angered that few close to him have been out in the media defending him against his second impeachment.
Reuters had this to say about Giuliani and the impeachment:
President Donald Trump may hire a law professor who spoke at his rally before the riot at the U.S. Capitol to help defend him in an impeachment trial over a charge that he incited the violence, according to two people familiar with the matter.
John Eastman, who joined Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani on stage at the Jan. 6 rally, is being considered for a role on Trump’s defense team, the people said.
Giuliani, 76, who told the crowd they should engage in “trial by combat,” may lead the impeachment defense, Reuters reported on Sunday, citing a source. Giuliani has not responded to requests for comment.
Eastman, 60, who made unsubstantiated claims of election fraud at the rally, would neither confirm nor deny whether he will represent Trump, citing attorney-client privilege.
