Dear “fact checkers,”
Let us be very clear.
We are NOT reporting that Trump’s concession video is a “deep fake.”
Rather, we are reporting that many online observers believe that it is!
That is real news.
So please do not slap a “disputed” label on this article.
The reality is that many online observers think something is off with Trump’s concession video.
Specifically, many people believe that it is a deepfake.
Take a look at the concern below:

Did anyone else think the trump video statement was a deepfake or just me?

So why are people saying this?
Users claim that it doesn’t look like Trump…
That something is off with the video quality, including the crispness of the background and apparent lack of focus on Trump’s face.
Specifically, look at President Trump’s neck.
Right above the tie.
A black gap regularly appears, as though the animation failed to “fill in” the space.
Of course, the logical explanation is that this is just a shadow.
But there are many, many people who believe that this looks suspicious.
Take a look for yourself.
Look closely at the neck, right above Trump’s tie.

What do you think?
Is it a shadow? Or does it look like a deepfake?
Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments!
While most of the media is ignoring these concerns, Newsweek is confirming that voters are concerned for President Trump:
Commenters on the right-wing social media platform Parler have criticized President Donald Trump’s video address released Thursday in which he pledged legal repercussions for the rioters on the U.S. Capitol and essentially conceded the election to President-elect Joe Biden.
Parler commenters called the video a “deep fake”, essentially a digitally manipulated imitation of Trump, and worried that Trump would “sell out” or betray his supporters who raided the Capitol.
In his video address, Trump said he was “outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem” that unfolded yesterday at the capitol, adding, “To those who engaged in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country. And to those who broke the law, you will pay.”
Be sure to let us know what you think after you watch the video!
Does anything else look odd to you?
The moment I finished watching this I literally googled: Trump deepfake speech

I could almost believe it was a deepfake voiced by a really good Trump impersonator…
