Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has called on the National Guard for the January 6 MAGA rally.
Multiple sources now confirm that the National Guard has been deployed.
However, as the city burned over the summer of 2020 during the BLM protests, Bowser appeared to stand down.
In fact, the National Guard had NOT been called in during the BLM protests in most cities.
When Trump “threatened” to send in the National Guard, the media and their allies in the Democrat party called Trump a “dictator.”
But now…
When peaceful patriots are set to rally in Washington D.C., the mayor has called the National Guard to police them.

JUST IN: DC National Guard to Respond to Pro-Trump Protests This Week.
Anyone who carries a gun at a protest or within 1,000 feet of a protest will be arrested, in line with D.C. law, the acting police chief said: @nbcwashington https://t.co/E6RgoovdBe— Shomari Stone (@shomaristone) January 4, 2021
To be clear, the previous Stop the Steal rallies in DC were peaceful!
The only violence during those two rallies was against Trump supporters.
There are multiple videos of Trump voters being attacked in the streets of D.C.
But instead of wanting to protect the patriots, it appears that Mayor Bowser wants to police them.
The Hill confirms that the National Guard has been activated:
National Guard troops are being activated in Washington, D.C., this week as thousands of President Trump’s supporters are expected to arrive in the nation’s capital to protest the results of the presidential election amid Congress’s certification of the Electoral College vote.
The D.C. National Guard said on Monday that roughly 340 personnel will be activated for support in the city from Jan. 5-7 as local officials respond to the scheduled pro-Trump demonstrations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The agency said its members will be assisting with providing crowd control at local train stations and helping police with street closures.
“Capital guardsmen will also support D.C. Fire and Emergency Management Services with specially trained Civil Support Team personnel. Guardsmen are prepared to respond to augment the main missions, should additional personnel be required,” the agency said.
The move comes after Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) and Christopher Rodriguez, director of the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, requested additional support ahead of this week’s demonstrations.
“At the request of Mayor Muriel Bowser, the District of Columbia National Guard is in a support role to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) which will enable them to provide a safe environment for our fellow citizens to exercise their first amendment right to demonstrate,” Maj. Gen. William J. Walker, commanding general of the D.C. National Guard, said in a statement.
“Our main mission is augmenting select traffic control points and metro stations identified by MPD,” Walker added.
Bowser has urged people in the District to avoid the downtown area on Tuesday and Wednesday and also asked them not to engage with demonstrators who have come to the city “seeking confrontation.”
She also issued reminders for those attending the planned demonstrations that local laws bar anyone from carrying firearms within 1,000 feet “of any First Amendment activity.”
At least three groups have submitted paperwork to the National Parks Service to hold pro-Trump demonstrations this week as Congress is set to vote Wednesday to certify Electoral College votes declaring Joe Biden the winner of the presidential election.
The Proud Boys, a far-right group, has also announced plans to have its members attend the pro-Trump rallies that day, along with Trump, who said he planned to take part in the “March for Trump” event scheduled for Wednesday.
Roughly 5,000 people are expected to attend that event, which is also expected to feature Roger Stone and Rudy Giuliani.
The District is expected to see an estimated 10,000 to 12,000 people turn out for the demonstrations this week. However, one event organizer, James Epley, founder of The Silent Majority, claims the city will see hundreds of thousands in attendance at this week’s demonstrations.
In addition to the activation of the National Guard, the city will also be temporarily shutting down certain roads and implementing restrictions on parking.
The measures come several weeks after four people were stabbed and others were injured, including police officers, amid clashes between pro-Trump supporters and counterprotesters in the District.
The January 6 rally is expected to be much bigger than the previous two rallies.
People from all over the country will be attending the rally, which is expected to draw at least 1 million participants.
While there is nothing wrong with protecting your city, people can’t help but notice the double standard.
Why call the National Guard on patriots, who have been peaceful in multiple rallies?
Especially when you allowed the city to burn under BLM?
How does that make any sense?

It appears that only 100 National Guardsmen will be deployed in DC.
Again, the rally is expected to draw over 1 million peaceful patriots.
Trump himself has promised he would be in attendance at the rally.
The Epoch Times has more details:
Some 100 National Guardsmen will be in Washington this week to help support police officers patrolling protests planned by President Donald Trump supporters this week.
“We have received confirmation that the D.C. National Guard will be assisting the Metropolitan Police Department, beginning tomorrow through the life cycle of this event,” Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee III told reporters at a press conference on Monday.
National Guard personnel will be assisting police officers with crowd management and traffic control, freeing officers “to focus on anyone who’s intent on instigating, agitating, or participating in violence in our city,” he added.
Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser, a Democrat, revealed she’d asked for National Guard personnel in a Dec. 31 letter to District of Columbia National Guard Commanding General William Walker.
Bowser said guardsmen would not be armed and would not be engaged in domestic surveillance, searches, or seizures of Americans.
Pro-Trump ralliers plan on gathering in D.C. this week to protest during the counting of electoral votes. The main locations police expect people to gather are the U.S. Capitol, Freedom Plaza, and the Ellipse near the White House.
Bowser noted that two pro-Trump protests late last year devolved into violence. In both instances, most violence appeared to be perpetrated by left-wing agitators, but pro-Trump ralliers, including members of the right-wing Proud Boys group, were filmed brawling as well.
“With respect to any particular group, it really doesn’t matter to me which group or which individuals, what we are particularly focused on is individuals that are engaged in violent behavior, whoever they might be,” Contee said.
Pamela Smith, a deputy chief with the U.S. Park Police, told reporters that officers “will not tolerate any sense of violence.” The park police will be working with D.C. police officers, she said.
Intelligence that authorities have obtained suggests the size of the crowd will be bigger than the protests that took place in November and December 2020.
Enrique Tarrio, head of the Proud Boys, said on Parler recently that members would be in D.C. on Jan. 6 but would not be wearing their traditional black and yellow outfits. “We will be incognito and we will spread across downtown DC in smaller teams,” he wrote.
All eyes will be on DC this Wednesday as multiple Republicans challenge the “official” election results.
