Maricopa is the primary county of the Phoenix Metro area and the nation’s 4th most populous county.
According to Wikipedia, Maricopa has a greater population than 23 states.
That means the results in Maricopa will have a tremendous impact on which candidate takes Arizona.
The Republican Party of Arizona previously made this announcement about their distrust in the state’s election integrity:
BREAKING: This afternoon, the @AZGOP filed suit to enforce a hand count by precinct, not voting center, as required by law.

Arizona GOP Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward also had this message to Arizona residents:

As reported by the Associated Press, a hearing has been scheduled for a judge to hear the Arizona Republican Party’s argument against the method of performing a hand-count audit.
A Wednesday hearing has been scheduled for a judge to hear arguments in the Arizona Republican Party’s lawsuit seeking to change how Maricopa County conducts a hand-count audit of a sampling of ballots as a quality control measure.
The party wants the sample measured on a precinct level, rather than among the county’s new vote centers, which let people vote at any location across the county.
The county is seeking to dismiss the lawsuit, saying the audit has already been completed, the GOP waited too long to file their challenge and warned it would be time consuming to open bags of ballots to figure out the precincts in which they were cast.
While Maricopa County faces a Nov. 23 deadline for certifying its elections results, GOP lawyers argue the certification could be postponed until its issues are resolved.
Breitbart added this statement from Dr. Kelli Ward:
“In the past, voters were assigned a polling place inside their precinct. The Secretary of State Katie Hobbs wrote an election procedures manual stating that now we’re going to a voting center model,” said Ward. “The fact of the matter is, we have to determine whether state statute as it exists is actually supreme to a manual written by a member of the executive branch.”
She added: “We are getting close to recount territory here and we are working — the Republican Party of Arizona with the Trump campaign, with the RNC — to ensure that every legal vote cast is counted in the way that the voter intended. We are fighting for you.”
Former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump by 11,038 votes in Maricopa County.
