Massive Crowds Of Protestors Are Starting To Show Up Outside Of The White House

Things are starting to look like a scene out of an apocalypse movie outside of the White House.

Large crowds have formed outside of the White House and it’s reported that most of the people gathered are anti-Trump protestors.

Some protestors even held a huge banner that said “Trump lies all the time” and “remove Trump”.

Arrests have reportedly been made already but as it gets later in the night the crowd is expected to be larger and more fierce.

NBC Washington reported that the BLM organization asked for a permit to protest in D.C.

At least six groups have requested permits for protests in the District over the next few days, D.C. officials said. Large groups are expected to gather in Black Lives Matter Plaza outside the White House, where organization Shutdown DC planned an election results watch party with bands and artists.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says peaceful protests are welcome, but prepared for anger and frustration to flare following a summer marked by daily or weekly demonstrations against police brutality in the city.

Many businesses downtown chose to board up windows in case of vandalism or destruction. Street parking is restricted on Tuesday and Wednesday.

D.C. is expecting major riots, the city has been boarded up and large scale fences were put around Federal buildings yesterday.

The New York Post covered the story too:

Hundreds of people gathered near the White House for election night demonstrations, with at least one scuffle breaking out even as many states still had hours left before their polls closed.

Crowds descended on Washington, DC’s Black Lives Matter Plaza, just a block from the executive mansion, beginning in the early afternoon Tuesday, according to local outlet WRC-TV.

Around 5:15 p.m., a tussle broke out between protesters and police officers and at least one person was detained, the NBC affiliate reported.

Police Chief Peter Newsham reminded demonstrators they had a right to gather — but asked them to do so peacefully.

“We invite anybody that wants to come down here [to] exercise their First Amendment right,” Newsham said. “We welcome them to come enjoy themselves and we just ask them not to be involved in any violent behavior.”

Our country needs prayer the nation’s capital is all boarded up and looks like it’s preparing for a hurricane.

It’s purely sad to see.
