Liberals Tweet: “Expand The Court” After Amy Coney Barrett’s Confirmation

We knew this was coming.

Liberals have a logic that says if you can’t win by the rules create new ones.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar took to Twitter after learning about Amy Coney’s Barrett confirmation and tweeted “expand the court”.

They weren’t the only ones crying out.

Many more liberals lashed out and said it was unfair that the Republicans have a 6-3 advantage.

I’m sure if it was the other way around we would hear crickets.

The Daily Mail contributed to the story and added these details:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar on Monday tweeted ‘expand the court’ just moments after Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed by the Senate.

Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez added: ‘Republicans do this because they don’t believe Dems have the stones to play hardball like they do. And for a long time they’ve been correct. But do not let them bully the public into thinking their bulldozing is normal but a response isn’t. There is a legal process for expansion.’

Her initial tweet was reposted by fellow squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar, who also wrote: ‘Expand the court.’

Barrett was confirmed to the Supreme Court Monday evening by the Senate in a 52-48 vote – with Republican Susan Collins crossing the aisle to vote against her. Some on the left have already floated the idea of packing the court – adding seats to the Supreme Court – in the wake of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death.

Fox News added to the story too:

NATIONAL POLL: Do You Still Have Trump's Back 100%?

Members of the progressive “Squad” of House Democrats didn’t skip a beat on Monday, calling for court-packing almost immediately after Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.

“Expand the court,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said in a terse response.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., followed: “Expand the court.”

Monday’s vote came after weeks of partisan bickering over the rationale for confirming justices before an election.

Rep. Jim Jordan said it best “Democrats are mad”.

Now that the Republicans have a 6-3 majority liberals can longer pass legislation that fits their agenda.
