What did eight years of Obama get us in the Middle East?
ISIS!
We had terrorists running rampant in the Middle East.
But now we have a President that has actually delivered peace in the Middle East.
So far, he’s received several nomintations and he just racked up another one!
Check out the details on the great news from Fox News:
President Trump has picked up another nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, after a Finnish member of the European Parliament (MEP) called for the American president to receive the honor.
Laura Huhtasaari, an MEP and a member of the right-wing Finns Party, wrote to the Nobel Committee to nominate Trump for the 2021 prize “in recognition of his endeavors to end the era of endless wars, construct peace by encouraging conflicting parties for dialogue and negotiations, as well as underpin internal cohesion and stability of his country.”
Huhtasaari said Trump has nearly completed a presidential term without involving the U.S. in a new foreign conflict, while withdrawing troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. She also cited the Abraham Accords — peace deals between two Arab Gulf nations and Israel.
Additionally, she said Trump has “maintained national cohesion and secured law and order” at home.
“It is hard to imagine a president of the United States from the last decades, or a current head of state, who would deserve more the Committee’s recognition in 2021 than President Trump for his efforts to build peace in the world,” Huhtasaari writes.
And here's more from the Salt Lake Tribune on why a national security adviser thinks Trump deserves the prize:
President Donald Trump’s break-the-mold “America first” diplomatic style has defied skeptics to make the world safer and more prosperous — and he should get serious attention for a Nobel Peace Prize, his national security adviser said Thursday in Salt Lake City.
“I came out and said he should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize” after brokering an accord to normalize relations between Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien told an Orrin Hatch Center symposium on global security at the Grand America Hotel.
He said leaders of those Middle Eastern counties who signed the agreement should also receive joint consideration for the Nobel Prize.“It took tremendous courage for all those leaders to make that step towards peace,” said O’Brien, who also was a foreign policy adviser to Mitt Romney when he ran for president in 2012, and is the highest ranking member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Trump administration.
O’Brien said that unlike many U.S. leaders, Trump has been willing to build up political capital with all parties, and then spend it to push steps toward peace.
If Obama got the prize for doing literally nothing but being elected, then Trump should receive the prize for every year he's in office!
Because he's keeping his promises.
He's making America great again, while also making the world a better place.
