Debate Flashback: There’s Nothing Smart About You, Joe!

In this classic moment from last week's debate, President Trump took down Joe Biden for implying he wasn't smart.

So much has happened in the last several days, that it is hard to believe that is was less than one week ago that President Donald Trump squared off against Chris Wallace & Sleepy Joe Biden in the first Presidential Debate.

In honor of that distant memory, let’s celebrate one of the more iconic takedowns of Joe Biden from that night.

From USA Today:

Half an hour into the first presidential debate, President Donald Trump took a jab at former Vice President Joe Biden's intelligence and accused him of forgetting the name of his alma mater in what has been a debate filled with personal attacks.

While lambasting Trump's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Biden said that "a lot more people are going to die unless he gets a lot smarter, a lot quicker."

"Did you use the word smart?" Trump retorted from across the stage, claiming Biden graduated the "lowest" in his class. "Don't ever use the word smart with me, don't ever use that word."

"Oh give me a break," Biden shot back. Records from Syracuse Law School show that Biden graduated 76th in a class of 85.                     "                                                                                                                       "There's nothing smart about you, Joe," Trump said. "In 47 years, you've done nothing."

Trump also seized on the opportunity to further the attacks he has made on Biden's mental fitness to serve as president.

"You said you went to Delaware State, but you forgot the name of your college," Trump said. "You didn't go to Delaware State."

Ouch.

Sorry, Sleepy Joe, President Trump was just saying what's been on all of our minds.
